Everyone seems friendly, onboarding process and getting initial stock was a little chaotic but once settled it's okay now.
As long as you do what you're supposed to and don't cause a nuisance then they leave you alone to do your work although will call if you are taking a little longer on a job just so they know what's going on - only ever happens when you've been on site for more than a couple hours which isn't often.
Vans are OK, tools are average really but do the job.
Generally aim for around 5-6 meters a day average but it is what it is - some days are better than others and they understand this. (Again, as long as you are doing what you're supposed to they leave you alone).
Came here from a big supplier and was a bit of a change, seems to be quite a bit more relaxed but there is more of an emphasis for meters on walls but at the end of the day working on a contract means that meters on walls is how everybody gets paid, so....
Auditing is pretty heavy here but that doesn't bother me.
Only thing that bugs me is that lunch and store breaks aren't factored into your day but that's a problem with the supplier I'm on the contract with rather than MPAAS. Also you get a LOT of work booked in - most days between 7 and 9 meters a day. 
But, you can only do what you can do. Still not great for morale when you see that in the morning on your tablet though!

All in all not a bad place to work. Just keep your head down and do what you're there to do and it's all good.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is nothing good to be said about MPAAS. This is a company that has no morals and isn't worried about the customer or the staff.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything is stressfull. The work load is pretty good but the way it is ordered and set for you doesn't make life easy.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poor, abysmal, non existent contact and most people are not happy.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, dealing with customers that have been lied to, to get an appointment and that aren't happy with the service they have received from the customer support and back office staff.

You get paid though they increasingly look for ways to take deductions from your pay

Management is similar to military regiment.
Treating subordinates like machines.
A lot of inhumane treatment fostered from top to bottom.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unprofessional.
A lot of nepotism and intimidation culture.
Do your job shut up and keep quiet.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I try to avoid management and others in their nepotism clan.
It can be difficult and discouraging.

I have been with MPAAS for just short of 1 year, its an incredibly fast-growing business with the change in my time alone being incredible.

With this growth there will be teething issues but I truly believe the senior management team will listen to any improvements employees feel need to be made. 

The office is a relaxed environment but fast paced, if your happy to get stuck in and give anything a go i would highly recommend MPAAS.

 There is always purpose within your day at MPAAS, many layers of support and a lot of experience within the business.

The culture is really good, people want to do well and there is a good bond between employees despite challenges that arise there seems to be a good level of unity.

The hardest part of the job is the fast growth of the business and being able to adapt to increasing demands.

I have worked at a couple of different smart meters places now and it's just as i expected from the interview and from what my mate told me.

I get on with my manager well, but i dont think i give them any issues as i am a get on with it kind of person. Sometimes I have to travel further than my postcode area, which is what it is - and the same as at other places - i get that the work depends on the energy providers they work for and their customers.

This is a great place to work. If you want to work, you earn the management trust pretty easy, and you are then allowed to get on with your job without any need for micro managing.
The team and managers have all been super helpful and this is an inclusive workplace which is very different from many other places.
I read some negative reviews which I'm struggling to identify with as the same place to work.


I have been at MPAAS for 10 months and have never looked back.  The office is a vibrant and friendly environment, everyone gets along really well no matter what department your in and this really shows within and around the office.   The management and Senior Leadership Team are always on hand for any help that is required.  As the business continues to grow, there is plenty of room for progression and I have already seen this multiple times in my 10 months here.  Overall, a fast paced but really good place to work!

EDF contract is well over worked , left the company and all they seem to do is make deductions , £500 for a damage on the van that wasn’t my fault, pictures provided and 3rd party company said can go through council , another £300 for a damaged iPhone (cracked screen), doesn’t pay London waiting for people who don’t live in London but still expect you to work in London with the attitude “go where the company needs you“

I wouldn’t recommend working at this company.
I don’t see them being around within the next 6-12 months so am actively looking for a way out.
Senior staff are only in the position there in because there friends with the CEO or worked at an energy supplier, in any other company they would be entry level employees with the lack of knowledge they have.
My only words of advice is don’t work here
