My team has a high emphasis on Asset Management, Preparation and Management of tender documents, Cost profiling, Programming, Capex/ Opex/ Totex, BIM modeling, Design Co-Ordination including Management of Technical and Commercial governance procedures.  I have been employed by Main Contractor MWH Treatment for the last 8 years to Lead and Manage the Solutions and Proposals Teams on small works and larger capital schemes on clean water, foul water, flood and hydro renewable projects mainly for Clients Severn Trent Water and the MOD.
The projects that I work on are a mixture of Civil Engineering Mechanical and Electrical projects ranging from £500,000 to £5m with an emphasis on all the disciplines listed above.

What is the best part of working at the company?
False promises, Non professionals, overall avoid at every cost.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Long travel, They promised paye and cis to employ you and then changed to Umbrella company. Scam with wages. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
i don’t know about offices team but i am sure the  Labour team won’t accept you for longer if you are a non white or you will not be promoted.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Health and safety levels just only stands in papers but on ground reality they don’t care.

A typical day at work would involve, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning tables and desks. Cleaning kitchen and canteens, fridges, microwaves etc. Cleaning toilets and changing/drying areas

Sweeping, mopping, cleaning. The hardest part of the job was to keep on top of the mud as they are very dirty sites on wet days.

I enjoyed working for this company as I drove from site to site on a daily basis cleaning several different places. Allocated an area each.

MWH is the worst employer I have ever had the misfortune to work for. Lowest pay in the utilities industry, bullying management tactics, long hours, absolutely no career progression. I spent four years here and they were totally wasted, in the end I was bullied out of a job by management

working onsite getting an in site of hands on practical work, helping electricians go about their daily jobs, form wiring boxes to pulling cables.
working in the office is not for me, daily jobs include reading drawings, going into meetings.

After a couple of years on the grad scheme I can say it's really good. You get given the responsibility to produce work and take the lead on smaller projects

Biggest con is that due to the type of work there have been 2 quiet periods which has left me feeling behind in experience 

Wouldnt work there again if it was the last place on earth. Even the new managers had no back ground experience so were as useful as a chocolate tea pot on a hot August day.
Everyone there is out to stab you in the back and the wages seemed to be stuck in the 80's!!

I really enjoy working with the client, and various teams to progress projects. It's very interesting being part of the various stages of project development and delivery. Seeing design drawings develop into tangible structures is very rewarding.

Not all management are great, such varied salaries and experience for the same role, especially newer people with less experience starting on more money
