I started with Nano with absolutely no experience whatsoever in the fibre installation sector. This didnt hinder my interview process and I received full training very quickly.  They understood my lack of experience and were very patient while I was learning. 

Doing the job now is fantastic!!! The workforce is brilliant and there is always someone to help out when needed. Nano do there best to ensure that the work culture is followed by all engineers. We get our jobs done and help out anyone that is behind before the day ends. 

Nano is rapidly expanding meaning there is lots of routes to progress further and build a solid career. There is plenty of incentives to do extra work in the form of extra pay, Toil accruel and vouchers. Your never pressured to work late or do overtime. This is solely down to yourself. 

The work we are given isn't difficult and 99% of the time we can get our jobs finished well before 5, if not there is always people on hand to assist when your behind. 

I've been with Nano now for just under a year and I can already see where I'm progressing and what I will be progressing into. 

As long as your will to put In the work and have a good work mentality then I would recommend this job to anyone. 

I Joined Nano with no installations experience, i'd recently been self employed and it was a total career change. After my initial interview I was asked to complete a Trial day out in the field which I found to be informative as it gave an insight into what I could expect in my day to day. I really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to start. The engineer I was working with sent in some feedback about me and at the start of the following week I was sent an offer of employment. Within a week of the formal offer I started training. All of my accreditations were paid for and I was trained. 

Every day is different at Nano, although the installs have the same workflow the day to day changes massively which works great for me. As long as you do as you are asked in terms of Health and Safety, Quality and Punctuality you get left alone and your judgement is trusted by those in more senior roles.

Some days are very short and some long but if you put in the work you are recognised and developed. 

Nano is a growing business and as they grow positions are made and recruited for internally before external recruitment begins. 

If you hold little to no regard for your work life balance,  mental health, personal health & safety and sanity or If you want to feel undervalued, overworked, underpaid, pressured and stressed then look no further as Nano Fibre UK is the place of work for you.
Toxic work environment day in day out whereby you are expected and pressured to work over contracted hours so that targets are met, lack of correct ppe, tools and stock and totally unprofessional way of dealing with said matters. Was promised a payrise once fully accredited, asked HR numerous times and didn’t hear a word back. Certain management positions have zero people skills, under qualified and experienced to be in said positions, often been lied to, had words put in my mouth. Health and safety at Nano fibre is pretty much none existent, expected to span lines across busy highways alone, run 3+ pit line pulls alone, climb during treacherous weather, had to ask multiple times for waterproofs until it got to the point whereby I refused until correct ppe was provided, and That’s only scratching the surface. In my honest opinion from top to bottom avoid at all costs. 

Because Nano Fibre is a growing company the work increases quickly so it can be strenuous and tough at times in the limbo between recruitment but that being said they do recruit and do continuously add to the team and communicate with us telling us that the recruitment is happening in the background. The team is really good at Nano, everyone jumps on to help each other and no man is left behind on site. I've enjoyed my time at Nano and it's exciting when I look at how far we've come in a short space in time. I can tell that Nano Fibre will definitely be one of the big boys of the fibre industry very soon, they are gaining business left right and centre and that's because of the hard work that the entire team does. Not just driven by numbers but driven by customer happiness and the whole installation experience for the customer which I personally love. Definitely a 5* company with a 'be the best' mentality. 

Great place to work! A typical day at work would involve being on site for 8am and finishing at 5pm depending on work load. I have learnt a lot about myself in the 3 years i have worked for Nano, and the company has show their commitment to me by investing in my career progress and developing my leadership skills. The management team are always there to offer support and guidance when needed and treat you fairly. The workplace culture at Nano is good,  and they believe in values, attitudes, and behaviors of each person. The hardest part of my job would be how on the ball i need to be during my day2day. It is a very fast paced job with up to a thousand properties being installed daily, i always need to be focused for the tasks at hand. The most enjoyable part of my job is finding solutions to problems. I am good at thinking outside the box and see things that not all engineers see, so to see the majority of the installs i deal with go over the line is very rewarding for me.

You start your week on a Sunday evening unpaid of course when you are assigned the next days jobs and are expected to complete a list of van stock in your own time ready for your working week where you will be rushed to do as many jobs as possible often without correct equipment or stock in your vehicle and then after you have completed your assigned jobs you will be pressured into taking on extra jobs for a promise of an extra £20. There is no regard to the employee and doing things the wrong way is actively encouraged so long as monthly targets are met. There is a toxic culture where south african management will talk about English employees in their native language while the employee is stood there making them feel very awkward and uncomfortable. Don't let the wage fool you into signing up as its not worth the damage to your mental health 

A typical day at work is engaging and productive, with plenty of opportunities to collaborate with a supportive team. The management is approachable and always encourages personal and professional development. I’ve learned valuable skills that have helped me grow both in my role and beyond. The workplace culture is inclusive, fostering teamwork and motivation. The hardest part of the job is keeping up with the fast-paced environment, but it makes every day exciting and rewarding. The most enjoyable part is the sense of achievement and the great colleagues who make work enjoyable. I highly recommend this workplace!

I worked here for one year and experienced poor management culture and lack of support. Concerns I raised about excessive workload and fair pay were ignored, and later the resulting workload errors were used against me.

Feedback from managers was inconsistent, and there was little recognition of employee wellbeing or mental health. In my view, this is not a supportive environment and potential employees should carefully consider whether the company’s culture aligns with their values before joining.

A typical day at work consists of never having a dinner and rushing around all day. The workplace maybe good for people aiming to do 50+ hours a week, however if you are looking to do things you enjoy in the evening I would avoid this company as you will be made to feel guilty for going home at 5pm which is your contracted hours. Unfortunately nano fibre falls under the bracket of one of them company’s that wants to squeeze every last ounce out of its employees and is becoming a high turn over work place from what I’ve seen over the last 6 months.

I did meet some fantastic people and some of the higher management is approachable and friendly however the management in the Manchester area is harsh and old school.



What is the best part of working at the company?
Absolutely terrible the hire you training is quick and if your not a supervisor they let you go  when their probation period comes to an end not fully training people paired up for 2 weeks  then putting them out on there to carry out jobs and moan when you ain't getting them finished on time don't waste your time here 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not supported at all  and will work over your contracted hours

It's absolutely toxic they all talk behind your back
