There are no typical days at Natural Power, the job is extremely varied!  

The level of training (both OTJ and formal) provided in the construction and geotechnical departments is comprehensive.

The management have always been very approachable in my experience and have always been available to discuss any concerns.

The workplace culture has been, in my experience, largely positive. During my time with the company there has been a definite shift towards a more corporate management structure but most of the people on the ground still retain the values that made Natural Power an enjoyable place to work

On site roles are extremely demanding and the long periods working away from home can become draining.  The reimbursement for the hours actually worked leaves a lot to be desired.

The locations that the geotechnical team work in are extremely varied and can be very remote.  The access and the work is always challenging but the site teams are, simply put, the best I've ever had the opportunity to work with!  The drilling teams are exceptional in their attitude and work ethic and the engineers are some of the most relentlessly positive people I have met.

Some individuals who think they are the bees knees and the company wouldn't run without them, but in fact cause all the problems and unrest within the team. Could be a great company but blow far too much smoke up their own a**e. No training for the product you are working with despite all the promises. Becoming very petty and like a military style organisation with their constant new rules, feel like management are constantly trying to catch you out for something.

Management are an example of people who have little to no training of how to work with other people and how to treat their staff.
Contestant expectation to work beyond contracted hours at a drop of a hat both week nights and weekends.
I could not recommend anyone I knew to work for this company.

The Naturalpower workplace has a lot of potential and it is clear people in the business work hard to deliver for each other.  As per any consultancy, people are asked a lot to deliver and most people do so without complaint.  The benefits package is pretty good and the there is a fair amount of direct communications with senior management.  Overall I would reccomend working here.

Natural Power is an absolute shambles of a company. The only positive of working for them is the salary. Everything from time booking to PPE ordering is terrible. Managers are corrupt and don’t care for their staff. HR have no idea what they are doing, they just seem to make up rules as the please. If you are thinking of applying to natural power then don’t.

Natural power is a good company to work for, my team has been really supportive of my progression within the company. The management could be better but there are changes continuing to be made! Good company benefits but it is a shame that the wages are not competitive.

Pros: The working atmosphere is nice with relaxed dress code and the colleagues are amazing. 
Cons: There is poor management, no recognition of your work, people being under-paid for their skills and significant amount of stress to meet unrealistic time budgets.

Work load was too much for the level of entry level. HR manager was not very good at supporting team and never around. Culture is very relaxed and if you are a consultant you will enjoy ever day as it is varied. Benefits are very good.

A good place to work with great management approach. Given the ability to make mistakes but also provided with constant feedback on how to improve. Managers give you responsibility from day 1.
