While I worked in this company, I can say that the operators and team leaders are fantastic people. However, the production managers talk to their subordinates as if they were dogs. Some production managers are family members (siblings, spouses, etc.). In the engineering department, there are very skilled engineers and, on the other hand, lazy engineers who like to delegate their work to newcomers. As they have been working there for a long time, they think they are kings. While I worked there, I was asked to do handyman work overnight, such as unclogging toilets. The engineering manager is super intelligent and friendly, but the same cannot be said about their superior in the engineering department.

A typical day of work is fun and full of challenges.  Its fast paced and keeps you busy. Busy is good. I learnt a lot about many different aspects eg: quality,  training and development,  health and safety, auditing and managing effectively just to name a few things. Its a friendly workplace culture and staff are treated fairly. It can get quite busy so managing effectively and ensuring highest quality standards can be challenging however effective training is provided. I personally enjoyed tje daily challenges and tje fun friendly culture so I always looked forward to going to work and I can testify.  Regards,  Richard Stead 

I joined in 2016 and it was my first full time job offer,so I was excited the factory has been like family to me as my dad worked for 7years so I knew the place was nervous when I started but all in all probably one of all time favorite jobs 
Everyone is lovely and kind . I had times where I was stressed and annoyed but I was proud that my dad was with the whole time I worked there .I sadly left the job after 3 and half years before I got a job offer at another lace to work in the kitchen which what I have always wanted .staff are very friendly and can always have time for a chat or whine down would recommend to anyone looking for a new adventure.

Absolutely awful place to work especially if you’re a native English speaker and you don’t speak another language.

The language barrier between 97% of the employeees is absolutely awful, health and safety is a real issue when it comes to this.

I’ve seen workers pick up fish off the dirty floor and pack it for delivery, absolutely disgusting. The training for agency workers is awful too, you receive a half an hour training which then receive no guidance afterwards, you have team members but this is difficult when they don’t understand what you’re saying.

Honestly just never work there.

working 4 on 4 off, which is great when you take 4 days holiday you get actually 12 !. That's the main reason people stay. It was fun and enjoyable till 2010 but after that company starts to grow, expand and change the management. That was the beginning of collapse for the shop floor. People are not people anymore just numbers for business. there is a bad vibe around that you can lose your job in a blink. Many did. top floor, shop floor - they just took their stuff and , they were gone. No goodbyes, nothing.

Was ok like environment when work for that company because respect environmental areas 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day was same because every day clean aggregate

I work there for four days in the factory very little training is given so most of it is figuring out on your own what todo you will be stuck in a wash room by yourself for 12 hours and get yelled at when the work isn’t completed to the standard. Very few people speak English so trying to understand people is very hard. 
Many employees cut corners when it comes to health and safety standards not all equipment is sanitised and is still left dirty majority of the time

Having worked here for 8 months, I have found NESI to be an extremely progressive business.

The business believes in respecting it's employees and offers many opportunities to progress, a large number of vacancies are filled internally.

The goalposts change so fast with teams that are under resourced for.

Very clique, managers aren't 100% present so it's alot of trying to figure it out on your own and try to do the best you can.

I worked for many years. Since it was a smaller company and we all loved working no matter how hard it was because we felt like a family. I grew up with the company. they give you so many opportunities and they use to care. 
Things changed when the company doubled, top management changed and everything was about numbers not people anymore. "Don't get emotional" they used to tell me. I hated that phrase.
