The job is on advertisement constantly which says a lot. Managers are rude and will not support just take take take. It’s a call after call role and no respect is given at all. Very simple job with no experience needed as it’s a call centre environment but claims experience is needed. Anything personal is spoken by all management and is made common knowledge to the team. Managers make rude comments on teams about other staff and they are the office manager and team managers. I saw this multiple times pop up on their screens and was shocked each time. No consistency and it is a face fits environment. Some have to call when sick others just text as they are the favourites so they don’t have to call. Toxic work culture and it’s from the managers. Don’t expect breaks either just your one hour lunch and don’t expect to interact with colleagues as this is frowned upon and a new seating plan will come out before you know it. The sales team get breaks and early finishes that are not approved by group but again face fits environment from all angles. Avoid this place is my opinion as you will soon be looking for a new role. When I started two people a week were leaving for about 5 weeks but constantly someone is leaving. Staff don’t last and it’s like a conveyer belt. No learning or development either. The ones that have years of working their are the toxic ones and create the toxic environment. Complaints aren’t taken seriously either as they are against management which doesn’t get investigated by HR. HR is non existent and always recruiting new staff. 

Big enough to cope, small enough to care.
Best place ive worked in 10 years crossed over from an agency and have never looked back. There's money to be earnt if you put the time in.
Decent kit all under 2 years old and all have fridge and microwaves as standard,  good trailers and no parking to pay out as its all prepaid on accounts with all the main services and also have snap accounts. As much training / uniform/ ppe you'll ever need and great onsite facilities with a separate area just for drivers with kitchen, pool table,  tv and clean hot showers/ washrooms.
Transport / planning office is great to deal with as theyre human beings never had an issue, ever. For example, if youre running late its not an issue , if you cant make a collection its not an issue .The likes of stobart and bigger national firms could learn a lot from boughey in my opinion! Don't get me wrong sometimes things change at the last minute etc etc, but if you don't  have the time it's never a problem. They ask how much time you have and not tell you. Makes a big difference!  Yes there are similar outfits offering higher hourly rates but simply can't match the work ethos/ environment that this place has...give it a try,  you might be surprised! !

good communication with other members of staff not a bad place to work good set a lads i was working with i have worked at worst places than that easy work when you get in to it just keep your head down soon pick it up done warehouse work most of my life at various companys road sea express at holmes chapel bargain booze in crewe m6 cash and carry in crewe heathfieldfoods at shavington primebake at nantwich good working enviroment not hard work when you get in to it various types of different jobs to keep you busy job is was you make of it how you cope with the day to day runnning of the bussiness side of this how to repalise goods empty containers day each one you empty after that you are entitled to go for a break the qicker you are the longer you end up on your break before the next job comes in constant bending down picking up stuff it can play havic on the physlical side of the job i haveput my back out many a time doing this type of work keeps you fit and you must be a very agile person to cope with this type of work the of the job is when you finallly finish and are clocking out to go home to get yourself ready for a another day the most enjoyable part of the day is when you finally know you have done a good days work job satisfacation job well done done to heatlh and safety regulations.

*Salary for drivers is poor , no paid breaks.(supposed to remain with the vehicle even though unpaid)
*they take on too much work and let customers down(as a driver I'd say 80% of customers have bad things to say about nwf)
*management don't actually think or know how the jobs works, they make decisions purely based on money or figures, opposed to trying to understand problems or issues and how and where they arise.

* management could even read this review and they would just ignore it or think he is just a problem. I love my job but just don't love the way I'm treated or valued.

The management team is supportive, offering clear guidance while fostering autonomy. The culture is one of the best aspects—colleagues are friendly, supportive, and always up for tackling challenges. While the fast pace can be overwhelming at times, the team is well-equipped to handle it. Overall, the people and the exciting projects make it a great place to work.

When I began working for NWF Fuels, the depots were bustling with staff who motivated and supported one another. However, in recent years, there has been a rapid decline in staffing levels. Depots that once employed several sales staff, stock personnel, and depot managers now often have only one or two employees working in the office.

Geographically, the business has made experienced staff redundant or encouraged them to move to competitors for better career opportunities. There is a noticeable lack of innovation within the company and insufficient organic growth. Instead, their primary strategy focuses on acquiring small family-owned businesses, likely due to a damaged reputation with customers.

Stay away at all costs. Management is an absolute shambles, they have no idea what they’re talking about and everyone is in the clique. You will not be made to feel welcome when joining as you won’t be apart of these cliques. They make you feel like you’re constantly doing your job wrong, even if it’s their mistake. They speak down to you, no matter what your experience is and quite honestly send you home crying. Management/team leaders are in cliques with their team so you do not feel as though you can speak up. It all seems like perfect until you actually start working! The office is the worst environment I have ever had to work in and they are constantly talking about other people in there. STAY AWAY 

Senior Management need to rethink how they are running things as when I left almost everyone was unhappy.

In the time I worked there (1 year) they introduced poorly conceived changes in all departments I interacted with and the company felt like it was being ran into the ground, clearly not intentionally as senior management seemed to be trying to fix it but failing so consistently they are now critically understaffed with a lot of talent having moved on to competitors.

Sort the commission scheme out and be ready for frank conversations with staff to see what the genuine problems are and you may just move things around, but continue to save costs and you will be hard pressed to keep going. 

When I 1st started on the fuel industry I loved my job. Then after a couple of years NWF Fuels took over and it slid down hill fast. They lost so many long standing members of staff with the way they treated everyone. Some had been at the company 20+ years. They act without thinking. Higher powers at head office are shocking and happy to lose staff that had been there years. Everyday I go on linked in and someone else has left there too. I think if you look good on your cv they will employ you, doesn’t matter if you can actually do the job.  

It you like your mental health don’t work here otherwise it destroys it. 

Nwf fuels are a nice company to work for and treat you very well. The problem is that the pay structure is really poor. Their growth is mainly through acquisition of smaller local companies, so they pay different levels of pay at every depot they aquire. People get paid different wages for doing the same jobs. Some get paid breaks some don't, some higher rates of overtime pay some don't. The hourly rate at most depots are lower than rival companies aswell. Pay rates really need to improve to keep and attract new employees, especially in the current climate.
