Shockingly awful place to work for, the managers are to blame for this as they do not look after their staff whatsoever!! bully tactics are used to in order to get staff to work places and travel to God knows where while other staff sit on their backsides doing nothing!! Im very surprised a lot of places haven't cancelled their contracts as half the places are absolutely filthy or shifts just aren't covered if bully tactics haven't worked!!!  I feel sorry for the Co-ordinators , they are absolutely used and abused, doing managerial jobs , they don't get paid for doing manager jobs so I suggest managers and other higher paid employees get off your backsides and do the jobs yourselves!!awful awful company!!!


Staff are not looked after whatsoever so I recommend steering clear of this company at all costs!!

The job itself is lovely. You get to work with an excellent team, both from the Orian side and the school side. 

Now, if you expect working with the right amount of staff and get overtime paid for, I'm sorry to tell you, but it just won't happen. Management feels overwhelmed constantly and they are little to no help. There is a maximum amount of overtime you get paid, but it barely covers the amount of extra hours they ask you to do, so effectively you get asked to work for free. 

It that sounds like your dream job, that is your position. If you are expecting a well organised, transparent and fair company, then run. Run as fast as you can. Run away from them. 



Challenging job, rewarding at times, the people you work with are wonderful, most of the staff are helpful and willing to help the company succeed, the job role I was in was fast paced, stressful at times, but this I enjoyed, over all as a company I would recommend, the operations side of the business from senior management to front line staff are all great to work with, and do there most to help, 

The other side of the business meaning the office side HR, health and safety. Health and safety was great I felt they looked after staff best they could, office staff where good most of the time, HR department unfortunately are lacking in people skills, and this is the department thats supposed to help the staff.

Extremely unorganised. Workload is not within hours of employment 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A very laid back area manager that has no organisation skills. No adequate training. Thrown into a role and expected to hit the floor running. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Waiting to be told where you are working which can be quite late. Usually get to work place to find no stock for the day. Spend time chasing to get food delivered for that day.  Absolutely unorganised

In the school all the teachers and coworkers were very kind and helpful, I liked that part of my job, I got all the training and support what I needed. But it was very difficult to speak with the HR/payroll if I had any question. My cleaning coordinator couldn't answer my simplest questions at all and I should always call the office and wait months for a single answer. I think it is very bureaucratic.

I was very disappointed with our cleaning coordinator's work, she is very unprofessional and has 0 people skills and absolutely does not care about the staff. We didn't get any support from her and she said a lot of misinformation and misleading things.

If I could give anyone one piece of advice in life it would be to stay away from this Company !! Not only are management unprofessional but they allow work place bullying./harassment to take place , they don't follow correct protocol in dealing with issues, they constantly lie to staff to get what they need out you, they don't send support cover for staff absences there fore expecting you to cover multiple jobs, absolutely no communication and like to pass the blame on to other members of management, alot of trouble with team members back stabbing each other very toxic environment.   

We were contracted to clean schools. Would receive your tasks before starting work, initially paired up with someone experienced. Received training on machinery from the manger 
Would sometimes go and work at different sites dependent on cover.
You have to work hard to complete the tasks in the time given to achieve good standards. 
Manager friendly and hands on, other colleagues were friendly


Understaffed and overworked. Managers not interested in staff only whether work is completed. Disrespectful and unpleasant if told  timeframe unrealistic. Supplies rationed and removed from cleaners' cupboards, but complaints of leaving designated area when going back to central office to get materials. HR not interested in staff complaints when spoken to, when they finally responded.  
Rapid turn over of staff due to management attitude, behaviour and unrealistic expectations.

Avoid this company at all costs. My time working here was no home life due to hours  and times you had to work. Supervision one inperticular didn't have a clue what to do always whinging about working early hours when I myself was doing the same. You always get lied to by management. You'll get stabbed in the back by people. Supervisor always running to higher in charge telling tales. Your Co workers telling tales on you. Supervision and higher management thinking they are better than anyone else. Management won't admit to anything they've said. 

I love this job!!!  It works well with me having 2 young boys and obviously fits around school times and holidays.  
I collect meals from Langwathby, drive to Culgaith school set up the dining area, serve the children (approx 48) their lunch, clear down ad tidy the dining area and return to Langwathby to wash the pots etc. The people I work alongside are very pleasant and friendly and we all work exceptionally well as a team.
