Phillip Morris Ltd (PML) is a fabulous place to work, especially at the moment. It's a business with tough targets to meet on its journey from cigarettes to Reduced-Risk Products. Everything is changing, and I mean everything so it's a very dynamic environment and a lot of hard work comes with it. However, PML is also a very caring company with a very close eye on Mental Health & Wellbeing. There's a flexible start time, until 10.00 am, every floor has a kitchen with a comprehensive fruit basket each morning and the range of coffees and drinks, at no charge, is great.

It's a hot-desking culture on the PMO floor and a mixture on others. This reflects the Project-Based direction of the business. So, it's impossible to predict how your day will be; that all depends on what your role is, but it will be busy and the time just flies. 
There are great facilities and meeting rooms, new training and presentation suite and a very open culture between the leadership team and colleagues. Once a month there's a 90 minute Town Hall with live anonymous online Q&A session where you can ask anything and it will be answered. Twice a year there are all-company events which are really popular. 2019 saw the first Learning At Work Week at PML with a very wide programme of experiences and September was devoted to a comprehensive MH&Wellbeing campaign in all aspects of life.
It's a great place to work and I haven't even mentioned the Table tennis and Table football competitions, the Quiz nights, football team, yoga, pumpkin carving......

An energetic and driven team completely crippled by the IT capabilities or lack there of.

The teams are welcoming and supportive, eager to share knowledge and information with a strong culture of promoting working and social relationships; a great group of people you could not fail to feel at home in this multi-cultural, liberal setting, a real pleasure.

As a IT Project Management professional however, this was monumentally frustrating, the lack of in house development teams and lazy IT vendors made for a frustrating day at the office every day, a visionary product and strategy supported by the worst IT offering that I have ever seen, they will be overtaken by their competitors with inferior products if this does not dramatically change, even with the head start that they have

Daily tasks included: development and implementation, updating and following up of internal control policies and procedures in accordance with Philip Morris International standards; structuring accounting controls and reporting; performing detailed specific internal audits; giving procedural directions to the company’s management, HQ control
departments and Philip Morris Corporate auditors; activity coordination of regional offices in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Best company so far, however, there were no challenges, everything was everything was so well organized that it became boring.

Lacked support and left to operate alone without direction or structure. Very much encouraged to utilise my own contacts and networks and once they had gained access to those my contract was terminated. Initially the role appeared very attractive but the outcome was unacceptable with no warning or discussion prior to termination of contract after having worked hard and continually during antisocial hours. I would suggest if you are considering employment with PMI not to expect longevity, support or reasonable treatment. Also company vehicle was promised but was never supplied.

A company going through lots of changes, this has only been accelerated with Covid 19. Great company, but so much red tape which one might expect with a large tobacco company, however the changes are very slow allowing their competition with Heated tobacco to make some strides that eventually could have an impact on IQOS, this is frustrating. 

They have a mass hire, promise you career longevity and help you plan towards this. They will then have mass redundancies and the reasons are excuses. Management forever changing plans, field force last to know about them. Expect to get your KPIs after the first week of the month, really doesn’t help with planning. Overall I feel this company is slowly setting its self up to fail long term. Senior Management views and strategy’s really need addressing as well as transparency. 

Working for Philip Morris through POD staffing was enjoyable and challenging. Really enjoyed meeting different people and selling philip morris products. Unfortunately i do not smoke or approve of smoking. My daughter had cancer whilst i was working for phillip morris and then lost he battle to cancer. i was unable to carry on with this work considering the circumstances.I met some classy colleagues and some are lifelong friends now.

The London office is good and there are lots of events. You get a basket full of good on Christmas, good quality items. The work varies depending on your team. Overall the company has great worker and it’s international. So you’ll meet people from all over the world. 

That said it’s all about image. Making yourself seen and heard matters more than input ie. Speaking up during meetings a lot, introducing yourself to other teams, attending company events. If you want to climb the ladder do this. 

The position was very high pressured and a lot of working after your shift. The people are lovely including management. The salary paid is way above average for customer service jobs in Hammersmith. It was just too high pressured for me and too much to do with not enough time to do it. Work life balance is affected. 

We always hit our store targets and do things to enjoy our job even more like having more flexible breaks and staff outings on a weekly basis.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with complaints from customers that are hard to handle sometimes but the good thing is everyone is part of a team and we help each other out always.
