I was there for 2 years and I can honestly say it was the biggest waste of time in my career. I learnt absolutely nothing, despite asking for more projects and more work, it was horrendously dull work. The management was exceptionally toxic (although I’ll say my direct line manager was one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met!) and most were completely and utterly useless. The work could be exciting and I did have some fun with my colleagues, but overall I would not recommend if you’re young and looking for career growth.

The Police Federation is a staff organisation for rank and file police officers covering the whole of England and Wales funded by police officers contributions.It deals with negotiation of pay and conditions together many other police staff issues in association with the home office and government . 
The Federation is in the process of re organisation .

What is the best part of working at the company?
Payment, holiday entitlement, pension and flexible working

The management style is top heavy

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not great, has been know to ge toxic at times

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and stressful according with outdated systems which could use with updating

Role supported the Secretary General of the Polfed in ensuring that our hardworking Police Officers enjoyed the best working conditions and terms of service within their various constabularies.  Excellent working environment - Police Officers were supportive.

This organisation is undergoing a significant period of change. It strives and continues to improve its representation of the needs of 124000 police officers.

You will be lied to, work with inept managers who are agressive. The HR team dont care about staff. It is surprising for a staff association. They like to recycle staff and treat you like a commodity.
You have been warned! Be careful!

I wouldn't advise anyone to work here

 Very friendly people working there. Good money and shifts too. I would recomend this job to anyone. Managment very helpfull.  Nice free meal on duty and coffee too
