I had problem have epilepsy and had an episode while working there think this is reason they got rid of me as was not doing to bad at job until this happened

There is a lot to learn if you have never done this sort of work before so it can be stressful

You had your job and your were independent to work the way you would like. Plan your day etc

Long hours  no break and you didn’t have  anyone help you

It was ok not great management were a bit  warden like 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You start your day sometime it’s quiet then you have people bring lots of parcels so you get very busy

I was contacted by the team at my local post office after leaving my bank job that I had had for 32 years , my immediate work colleagues are great and we make a good team to represent the post office in my local town .. I have learnt a lot over the last 2 years and I appreciate the  learning I’ve had from my colleagues 

Training was set at a very high standard, all transactions were manual, and tbh, many were faster that way.   Technology is fab, but you need to fully understand the processes first and foremost.

The post office job was very good. I loved working there and seeing regular customers everyday. Generally its fun to work there but the management just let it down. If the management and owner were professional I would still be working there. 

Typical day is usually providing everyday banking services, taxing cars, sending mail and exchanging currencies. Most busiest period of the year tend to be the christmas period and summer months being quiet.

Loved working for PO unfortunately was made redundant l, great team with great people, always a busy environment, worked for the crown post offices, which are very different from the sub post offices. Miss working here but would not work for a sub post office.

Not enough staff busy customers moaning a lot worked lots extra hours - target driven not putting customers needs first what is suitable for them. Customers confuse Royal Mail with post office getting blamed for mail gone missing 

Post office can really show the worst of the public. Much worse than my retail positions. The is a lot to learn on the job but creates a sense of importance. I worked with elder people so mot much of a social life in this position.
