A typical day at work would have been to arrive 10 minutes early to look though any new paper work that would have been put on my desk. I started as a data entry administrator and worked my way up to work within the Customer Complaint Care Team, this job role involved speaking to customers that we not happy with the way that their insurance claim was being handled. I was given a lot of great training in order to deal with potentially difficult customers.  

It was my responsibility to listen to the customers concerns, then proof read their entire file to identify what the issue was, then to resolve the issue I would get in touch with the customer within 24 hours and advise a few ways we could move forward. 

Working with in a call was a fun and eye opening experience, to work along side such great management and team players was very exhilarating. It was very high paced and targets had to be met, some people found it a struggle where I'd say I thrived in such a work place, there was never a doll moment and always something to do.  I gained a lot of Customer Service experience whilst in this role, completing a NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service.

I feel this job really enabled me to grow into my own, after completing 2 years at college doing Admin and Personal Assistant Diploma's I was able to use these skills within my new job role and to expand on them.

My day to day role would include allocating work amongst the team, managing claims up to £100,000 and providing spreadsheets for upper management. I learnt how to manage people and deal with difficult situations in a calm professional manner.  The management were great and have always been supportive of my progression. My coworkers have been very helpful in making the running of my team easier. Hardest part of the job is dealing with under staffing issues, at times we have been majorly under staffed putting pressure on some staff that havent coped well in this situation.  Most enjoyable part of the job has been solving problems, being responsible for resolving issues of any sort.

a typical day would be waking up every morning at 6am to get ready for work i would cycle to work .

co-workers where older then me but got along well with them and enjoy being apart of a team.

Could improve respectful treatment of employees at all levels. 
Not enough trust between workers and senior management. 
Could improve compensation, pay and job security.
