Working in customer service at Project Solar has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience. The company genuinely values its employees and invests in proper training, which made it easy to feel confident and prepared in my role. Management is approachable and always open to feedback, and there’s a real sense of teamwork and collaboration across departments.

The role itself is fast-paced but never overwhelming, and I appreciated the emphasis on both customer satisfaction and employee well-being. I’ve had the chance to grow professionally, develop strong communication skills, and help customers through meaningful interactions. It’s empowering to work for a company that’s not only doing something positive for the environment, but also treats its staff with respect and care.

Highly recommend Project Solar as a workplace for anyone interested in a customer-facing role with a purpose.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing - Not even the toilets which always stinks.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very dirty and polluted company to work. The existing staff cannot tolerate the new people who wants to bring the change and the new management just wants to hire and fire. The management has no clarity on the process and they will say all lies at the interview. DO NOT WORK FOR SUCH A DIRTY COMPANY

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very political and there is a  high chance of getting micro managed by the MD and  finance.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go in stress and come back in stress

This job could be a great fit for someone looking to start a career in customer support. It's easy to learn and primarily involves assisting with phone sales. However, the work environment was far from enjoyable—uncomfortable, with noticeable bias and immature behaviour, making it feel more like a schoolyard than a professional setting. Unfortunately, this extends to the management as well. While the company as a whole is fantastic, promoting eco-friendly products and an inspiring mission, I wouldn't recommend joining this particular team. Others who have left would likely agree.

You will be driving around getting so called pre qualified leads.

There products are good, there prices are astronomical and if you don't make a sale you don't get paid.

And if you make the effort and it's not for you, any sakes made they will keep, also you don't get to serve your clients and update the CRM, so if you do get deals off the back of a client I definitely wouldn't trust them to give it to you. 

No respect for anyone. Whether candidates or employees. Don't waste your time. They ghost candidates they don't want. They treat the winners (employees) badly althogh I'm thankfully out now. Lose-lose business with contempt for people overall.

I have been with Project Better Energy for three months now and so far its been great! Everyone is very welcoming. With renewables on the rise, its an exciting time to be part of a fast growing company in this industry. 

Sales are very area focused with some locations getting on average double the sales of others. The product itself is great but astronomically priced compared to the competitors so it constantly feels like a losing battle 

The new MD's believe in Hire and Fire - they do not value and respect people. Avoid joining  if you want to be used and given false promises that can never be filled. 

Very cliquey, always making redundancies, then hiring for new people! Managers who aren’t even trained to be managers so they just pick on certain people with different strengths 

The chance to make money but it involves a lot of work and a mixed bag of leads. Good software, good tools and training and generally good managers. Very successful company
