If you like being bullied & doing the same tasks day in & day out this is a great place for you to work.

You will told about all the positive stuff during the interview, it’s not until you start your training you will find out what the company is really like.

New starters are bullied & will be given jobs that other staff members don’t want to do.

Management have there favourites so those people get away with what ever they like.

Your expected to clean up after homeless people & have to remove them from site. Also a lot of drug users leave behind needles etc so that has to be cleaned.

Some staff do nothing all shift, management are aware of this but due to high staff turn over they won’t sack anyone unless it’s very serious.

This could be a good company to work for but it needs a restructure of management as most staff members want to leave. 

Staff turnover is very high I’ve seen people come in for one or two days then quit.

My line manager was very helpful but seem to be unable to do anything about the issues raised.

Pay is only any good if your a supervisor upwards as parking hosts are paid poorly for the work they have to do.



Q-park is a decent organisation to work for.  The pay is good and you work 4 on 4 off. Colleagues are great.  Some Colleagues in senior positions are very lazy. They don’t really do anything except from sending emails to manager about what work has been completed what’s not.. team work only exists in some people. I’m beginning to think why they have night shift staff as nothing is ever done when you arrive in the morning. They don’t litter pick or complete any H&S’s. Less staff. No direction. No job security. I can say though Admin is a one man team. She does a great job. All credit to her.

A typical day consists of a 12 hour shift whereby one's responsible for the general cleanliness of the car park and making sure customer cars are safe by undertaking regular random patrols.

I have learned basic cash handling and filling out cash audit sheets on an excell spreadsheet.

The management usually like the staff member to take their own initiative but are there for you if need be.

The staff is comprised of people from diverse backgrounds so there is an equal opportunities feel to the surrounding.

One of the perks of the job is that sometimes we encounter famous celebrities coming to do their shopping and using the car park.

Terrible no one wants to be there 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not having enough staff, not having enough buses to run Cramming in people on the buses which is on the safe,
Never have enough staff,

There are alternate shifts, 12 hrs day shifts, with 4 days off in-between then 4 night shifts.
Personally I find it very difficult working night shift.
However after asking if I could possibly only work day shifts, there is no opportunity to work days only. Managent don't have much to do with us. There needs to be more interaction with the staff, assisting with problem solving.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They people you work with are great and we do our best to work as a team.

To be fair not nothing stressful just regular things with customers and vehicles problems the normal

Everyone friendly and there for each other

Well morning are really busy dealing with luggage and customers and organising your bus

Q-park is not a bad place to work. However, due to managment alot has changed. Less staff but some how they expect more from all host bearing mind their is no staff. Seniors all they do forward emails to management of what has not been done by them to make themselves look good but are very lazy and given a pat on the back. Night team supervisor is exceptional as well as admin. However, the managements are useless look to save pennies and expect results and are phoney to an extent.

great colleagues and management team. worked alongside team members to provide a service to customers parking their cars and making sure all their needs are met. cleaning facilities on night duty to ensure building is presentable for following morning customers. I also had the experience from my previous job to fix any faults with the car parking equipment so it reduced down time.

With my experience working at Q- park for 9 years I enjoyed it very much, especially when talking to the customers. We're good to you or friendly to you and I learnt a lot doing courses. If I have any problems I can turn to my supervisor or my management and they were good to me and I really gave it all.

Used as a dogs body. Have to suffer the rudest of people at Musgrove Park Hospital. Lone working at nights with nobody checking up on your welfare.

This is a company that makes millions of clear profit every week but has no interest in its front line staff.

Many Doctors and nurses treat you like dirt as  well. A shame as it could be much better.
