They ask for people to come on busy weekends to work for cash, 1st thing they provide no breaks on these really busy nights, they paid some the correct money and then the others left them short. Then come Sunday most were texted not to come in as they weren't needed, others didn't get a message so came to portrush to be turned away and paid the incorrect amount. Then for full time/part time staff they treat terribly. they are given a time to come in at work but they don't provide on rotas what time they get off at. Overworked and underpaid. No wonder the place is failing and staff even managers are leaving for else where. Instead of looking people that don't work there to come in on busy weekends maybe try giving your actual staff the hours. And in days when your actual staff are meant to be working not to text them 5 minutes before their shift starts that they aren't needed. People travel to get to portrush wasting fuel to be turned. They have people 15/16/17 years of age working behind the bar. This place has brilliant potential if the right people were running it. 

For anyone applying for the waiter/waitress role please be warned you will not receive tips. I worked at the ramore for around 5 months and not once did I get any tips, all tips had to be put in to the 'tip jar', and was supposed to be split but never was, always witnessed staff who had worked there a while getting a money bag of tips. Long working hours, sometimes not finishing until around 1AM which is not ideal for students even though it seems students are their target audience for the jobs.
The other employees were amazing to work with, but there are some that seem to treat anyone new with no respect.
All round the ramore would get a 4/10 as a work place for me, maybe ideal for students who has just left school or as summer work but I would not go into the waiter job expecting a career out of it.

Each day generally started off slow and then became busier until the end of the night. The best thing about the Ramore is that there's rarely a lack of things to do, as well as a fantastic culture and social life. Often quite long hours that will leave you wrecked afterwards. However it is minimum wage and sometimes it feels as though they are just trying to run the place by meeting the minimum requirements. I also know that some of the staff feel as though they are treated unfairly depending on which section they are working in. Yet overall I enjoyed working there and I got on very well with the other staff.

Higher management don't care about entry level employees you work long hours for minimum wage and are expected to do the jobs of three people set up and closing shifts were often shafted on to those who aren't at school on one occasion I did 6 set up shifts in a row because they hire school kids who aren't available for a three o'clock start there is a high turn over of staff at least someone new every week the only good thing was that you had the morning and part of the afternoon to yourself to give ramore it's dues there is a good nightlife culture

Absolutely nothing stressful about this job.

Friendly place to work. Fun place to work. Busy place but great atmosphere 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Like socialising but getting paid

although the days can be long, which is the same for most catering positions i found that it was fun to work in the Ramore Restaurant ltd as the staff were friendly, the salary was good and the management to the highest level were very helpful.

The Ramore is an energetic and exciting place to work, hard work is always rewarded and staff in all positions are friendly and helpful! I started in a part time/ weekend work position and had no previous experience, I have now progressed to full time Restaurant Supervisor.

Some of the management are nice enough. Others are rude and useless.
Wouldn’t recommend working here.



Great for hard workers and people who like to keep busy, hours are amazing in the summer but there are less in the winter. Is great for a summertime job 


Working at Ramore Restaurants for six months was fantastic. The team was supportive, the management was great, and I learned so much. The food was top-notch, and the atmosphere was always positive and energetic.
