The hotel itself was great to work for and onsite manager. Since covid-19 hit times have been hard and sometimes we are so busy with no staff just to keep payroll tight.  The fun has gone from the job and everyone is leaving as they are all fearful for their jobs after getting redundancy letters. The manager appreciates and thanks all the staff and works extremely hard to make the place a success how ever since changes at head office it seems she has a limited say and is micro managed. I booked a holiday abroad to my home country and was told I couldn’t go now for more than two weeks unless agreed by head office so myself and all the other people that only travel once a year will not be staying. I have already left and would advise others to leave to unless you are willing to cook breakfast, check guests in and serve on the bar all to save the bosses money then don’t bother. All staff are becoming multi skilled to assist but whilst moral is so low until business improves staff mindset won’t improve. Maybe it’s time the big bosses cared about their staff as we are all a number including the manager I know who feels the pressure from above. The manager ironically speaks well of head office and is always professional but no one is appreciated from above or I never felt it. 

It’s a nice job. Easy, not very stressful. Can be quite boring. 
It’s very cliquey there, I always felt like an outsider, even when I tried to join in conversations I was ignored. 

Management or lack off, wasn’t sure who was in charge, wasn’t allowed to contact anyone after they went home. 

Never know what holiday you’re entitled to, think they just make it up as they went along. 

Guests are lovely, always lovely to chat to some of them and get to know them, esp with some long term stays. 

They close at Christmas their choice but it’s unpaid, if you want to be paid you have to save holiday. I don’t think they should do this, as its their choice to close not the staff so the staff should get paid regardless. 

You can go above and beyond for the company but it’s still not enough, there’s only so many times in a 8 hour shift you can clean a table that hasn’t been used all shift. 

Some staff members were lovely, higher up not so much, very much 2 faced. 




Hired, health and safety is a joke, after one month let me go a week before furlough started.
Area managers don’t have a clue and are always scared that they are gonna be fired so don’t have the courage to support staff. Be warned they will just give you notice once they have what they wanted from you, and don’t speak up for your rights as you will be let go very quickly. And don’t expect a last wage slip or a p45 as funny enough it gets lost in the post!

No job security here , you’re just a number . 
Below average wages and you’re not made to feel an like an asset to the company .  Management make up the rules as they go along, lack of leadership which comes down from the top. 
Often go to work worrying what’s going to be said or done today .   Stressful place to work 

An absolute joke..no communication or help from managers no adequste training.. owners just interested in money..no incentive to stay as managers offer you nothing training help in a crisis. New staff thrown in at deep end n then mistakes have to be rectified by night supervisor

Working here was an absolute disgrace! You tell the manager one thing personal, and then the whole work team knows. Everyone knows everyone’s business and you’re treated very unfairly. You’re “not eligible” to be sick, and if you are sick, the manager will come and pick you up herself :). 

Filthy kitchen, lazy management and staff, no professional support and no health and safety procedures adhered to.
No concept of customer care or data protection. 
No security measures in place to protect customers or staff.

enjoyed working for this company, I was very flexible for shift and did a lot of covering when needed. hardest part of job would be dealing with certain complaints and trying to solve the situation to make quest happy.

I enjoying to work at this hotel,it's hard work but we not doing a lot hours a day and I like my supervisor and all my work mates they are very friendly and always help you if you need to.
But you need to have own trasport to get to the job.

no manegment the staff are like school children and gossips very unprofessional and expect you to work with less then an hours notice   the building has potential if they found the right owner and manager
