I worked at Ross care for a couple of years as a mobile service tech the job it’s self was great I loved it and gives great satisfaction knowing you’ve just made someone’s life a little bit more independent, the company are a good company to work for, the management are firm but fair if you mess up they will let you know so don’t mess up often, if you work hard and get the job done to a high standard there’s no issues and management are fair with you, the money is good the lads are great, it’s a god place to go and enjoy your work. 
There’s plenty of overtime to be had which is always a bonus but you have to be willing to put the hours and work rate in to earn the big money, I had weekly catch up chats with my manager which was good cos any issues get sorted there and then, I was sad to leave but new opportunities came knocking on my door. 
I would recommend Ross care to anyone who has a great work ethic and is wanting a good paid job with job satisfaction! Big up the managers at Ross care 

Everything seems good until the first day of training, then it goes down hill. If you like to be micromanaged then this is the place for you. If you are 1 second late they start hounding you about where you were and what you were doing. I have never seen this type of micromanaging in my life, until working here. A bunch of Loser rejects that got a training position or other higher up positions, they clearly are not qualified for. When you ask questions about the job the trainers act secretive and keep telling you to wait and they will cover it later on in the training. The trainers like to pick on or harass certain people during training & they all think it's funny. Every training class makes more money then the previous class. They like to give these fancy name titles but you are nothing more than a Customer Service Rep or Collections Rep. They treat employees badly and the job is so stressful

I cant fault the staff at the Eastbourne depot, most of the staff work tirelessly with dedication and passion towards each service user all pulling together despite the ever increasing finiancal restrictions placed upon them, a great team but lead by a very week incapable manager who is so out of touch with his staff and his service users and lacks any personnel skills, only pro-active when he hears the complaint word.
Don't work in the Depot warehouse the supervisor will make you feel undervalued, unappreciated, completely overlooked and really has no idea what goes on there 
Overall some fantastic staff but with this manager I can't see them holding onto that NHS contract 

This could be a great place to work.  The job itself is enjoyable and challenging and there's definitely a sense of satisfaction in delivering a service to vulnerable service users.  The fly in the ointment is that the training is delivered by someone who is wholly unsuited to a managerial position.  If more time was spent in delivering training in a professional manner, instead of spreading toxic rumours about members of staff and management, then Ross Care would have an effective workforce.  As it stands, staff turnover is embarrassingly swift and for that, the Training Manager and Line Manager must accept the part they play in creating a toxic and back-biting culture.  Such a shame.   

I've enjoyed working there but the pay is just over minimum wage.
Booking in parts in warehouse and delivery and collection of wheelchairs is a nice part of the job but I also decontaminate the used wheelchairs which I don't enjoy. Some are in a pretty grim state. Not pleasant.
Nice people to work with although quite a few have left this year. Customer services have to put up with some rude customers.
Occupational therapists do their best with limited funding left in the contract and the same can be said of the field service Engineers.
Some of the fleet of vehicles are getting a bit worse for wear but I've seen worse.

This is not a good place or company to work for,the management treat you like scum,when the office screw up it gets blamed on the driver for their mistake!  No appriciation for anything you do,but they come down on you like a ton of bricks if you do something wrong whether you were shown how to do it or not, no trainning at all no matter how many times you ask,you are expected to do a job with next to no tools unless you supply your own which they say you shouldnt have too!  
You will wake every morning dreading going to work because the management have no idea how to organize your jobs and time effectively.. a shambles.

Some departments failing has a knock on effect on your job daily , this can be frustrating . Overall the job is easy , but pay does not reflect the knowledge you have for repairing various types of equipment. Training is non existent , even when you request it . You learn by getting knowledge from other staff or making mistakes . On the plus side some of the staff are sound and you can have a good laugh but as everyone is sick of working their conversation is negative regularly unfortunately. If they could legally pay the staff less they 100% would .

I have worked at some poor places, but this is the worst. Training is rushed from a driver at the Mold depot who to be honest needs training himself, his priority is rushing through the work, to be home before 4pm. Assistant Opps Manager can’t make decision's without speaking to the regional opps who to be honest needs anger management and social skills training, and ignores or gets rid of anyone with an opinion . Some good lads in the workshop. Pity the job would be great as helping people in wheelchairs is really rewarding. If you value your sanity and  want a happy work place, then stay away.

Absolutely shocking place to work.

High management cannot manage, always contradicting themselves and no consistent discipline. Can get sacked for doing the same as someone else who doesn’t get sacked.

Management do not care how much stress the job puts you under just that the job gets done so they can get praises from above.

Staff turn over is shocking but again you wonder why.

No praises or bonuses for the staff at the bottom of the chain, no thank you for everything, no rewards or gifts. Christmas time is absolutely shocking for what you receive. 

my duty as a wheelchair technician was to maintain and repair various types of wheelchairs. on a nomal day i would repair up to 25 wheelchairs  this consist of parts replacement or repairing the part that is broken if it is repairable once the wheelchair has been repaired i would fill in the necessary paperwork detailing part that was used or replaced and also include information of the work that had been carried out .
