What is the best part of working at the company?
Each and every member of the staff is really helpful and friendly . You get to learn new things everyday.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It’s something that isn’t common . But yeah sometimes with limited staff you’re given certain tasks to complete within a few hours which is stressful .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s very supportive, helpful and friendly 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s calm, peaceful and happy with a lot of customer interaction

A typical work day consists of 8 hours full of:
•cashier 
•pricing 
•tagging 
•steaming 
•uploads to ebay

Management is constantly changing but is almost perfect and is run smoothly.

I've learnt how to:
•talk to customers
•work a till
•organise even better 
•price/tag clothes 

The shop is the heart of our community and brings everyone together. Best store on the highstreet.

The hardest part of my job is probably talking/making conversations or working in a team.

the best part of my job is the rewarding feeling of achievement at the end if the day and discounts as a pay.

I really enjoy my job at my local rotherham hospice shop. every day is differant always lots of new customers to meet and greet the ladies who i work with are fantastic.a typical day starts with a cuppa before doors open then its one staff on shop floor and two in the back room sorting through all the donations we have been given.they then have to be steamed tagged dated priced then put on hangers to go onto shop floor.window dressing is very enjoyable as is arranging all the  toys and books.we also have a wide variety of footwear and bric a brac all donated by the genral public.which without them and the wonderfull volunteers the would not be as many shops. .

Managing a fundraising team with a brief to double it's contribution is not an easy task. Our goal was to be the best in order to compete with the thousands of other charities all striving for the same pound contribution that we were. My initial years in the oil industry was tremendous grounding to enter the charity sector and to introduce new and fresh ideas.I led by example and had some experience in many areas which did gain the respect of my team. 
Enthusiam and passion and meeting new people was the most enjoyable part of the job.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The people i worked with but none of us are there anymore fast turn over of stuff

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not having enough staff to work with how busy the cafe was never got your breaks kitchen too small to cope with how busy it was

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Very stressful.  Boss of the cafes hadn't got a clue like us that had done it for years. As she had come out of a completely different job. Changed menus and put loads of stress on to us made the job alot harder

I worked at Rotherham Hospice for two months. At the beginning, I really enjoyed my time there. I always tried to be helpful and completed the tasks that were given to me to the best of my ability. I also made sure to warmly welcome everyone who came into the shop and tried to create a friendly and positive atmosphere for customers and visitors.

To summarise:
Management are an absolute nightmare,
The most enjoyable part of the job was my co-workers. The people I spent days with. 
The hardest part was the lack of breaks whilst on shift,
The workplace culture was incredibly toxic, no thanks for hard work, constant belittling of staff and working them to the bone and then some,
When it comes to management, they were overbearing, only really cared about numbers and not the mental health of their staff. 

Working at the Rotherham Hospice Charity Shop was a pleasure. Every volunteer was friendly and made the environment a lovely place to work. The manager was supportive and approachable and always checked in on her team. I personally found the job very fulfilling and look back fondly on my time working there.

i really enjoyed my job at the Rotherham Hospice Funiture Store i laerned how to oiperate a till and make sales it was a freindly work enviroment I learned how to take stock and recieve it and how to clean the store. my manager was really supportive and encouraging in my work i learned my customer service skills from this job

Great customer service, they met all my needs and supported me with my disability's health problems, really good experience collecting furniture from customers addresses and taking things in to the shop and moving the shop floor around. Good volunteering for a good cause
