It's like nothing has changed in decades, with the management being in their positions because they've been there for so long  and hit the highest pay band so time for a promotion, rather then any real interest in leading and management. Some of them are well meaning, but work processes are just so out of date and disfunctional. Has impacted my mental health working here for workload burnout and gaslighting. Great to rise up the ladder quickly as turnover is so high and getting suitable people to apply for jobs is often impossible, though also not interested in training the local population, only want ready made staff from elsewhere to burnout.

RBC was my first proper job, but despite how daunting that may seem, everyone was overwhelmingly welcoming and supportive, and I enjoyed a lot of my time at the council. The team was very tight-net when I started, and over the years I built some incredibly strong relationships with everyone in my department. Not only that, but you could walk around the council and everyone you'd meet would be so friendly, including both front-of-line staff and higher-ups.

Unless they change their chief executive this place will be stuck in the dark ages. Senior management very weak and allow the staff to do what they want to. Everybody seems to have been there for 20-40 years only the ones who want to advance move on. 

No back bone say they are going to change but then old established staff don't like the change and they just cave in. HR not very helpful one or two think they know everything and more like bullies. They let the good ones go or leave and happy to plod on with those who don't want change 

If you are you are happy working in the past with no desire to change then this is a place for you v

Working for the grounds/gardens is great the team are a good laugh, there is alway something to learn throughout the time. The hardest thing working here has to be very wet days or heat waves, besides that it can be a great place to work as these days are not every day. As an award winning team you can feel good about the work that is done throughout the year.

The best of part of job is whatever good you do does not matter.

Th e worst part is colleague are not diverse speak with attitude rather than word 
If you listen to the word they mocks you and test your skills and IQ according to the what you react with their word.

It is very flexible and allows me to improve my performance through training. 
However, the management approach is top-down with little bottom up management. No career development, isolation and loneliness is very prominent.

If you want to enjoy your life then don't work here. If you want to go to work each day knowing that you will be bullied and be surrounded by management who are only interested in themselves and making your life a awful then go ahead. Ask yourself why so many staff have walked out...

The rent management office is an awful place to work. Constantly talking behind peoples back and caused a very negative impact to my mental health. The way they spoke about tenants was really sad too.

Good people to work with, housing maintenance, average pace of works, meeting new people from different backgrounds, build on customer focused skills.

good mix of working on machines always some thing different the next day. Always have a laugh with my co workers. management good if every a problem comes up you can talk to them about it.
