I had a really disappointing experience at Scottish Leather Group. The communication is poor, and management seems disconnected from the staff. Feedback is vague and often feels unhelpful, making it hard to know how to improve. The promotion process is almost non-existent, with little clarity on how to progress within the company. There’s a lack of support for employees, and the atmosphere can feel uninspiring. Overall, it’s not a place that fosters growth or a positive working environment. Wouldn’t recommend working here

On the shop floor it was well known communication is non existent in this place.

From mangers having a I don't care attitude too lazy workers getting away with doing nothing.

Absolutely no job security whatsoever there is always a consent movement of agency workers,
Shifts are always changed without much consideration to the workers.

Overall you'll make money but you will be absolutely miserably doing it and thats not living.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There was was none...two 15 minute breaks and hassle galore...slave labour.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The job itself , clueless very young team leaders and even more clueless managers....health and safety questionable. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic and unfriendly....them and us culture...

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long and sad trying to do a mundane job.

Working at this place was hard work. Depending on your position, you could be standing on your feet for 8 hours straight. Had to leave job due to serious back injury and other health problems. Would recommend if you're fit and can work in a fast paced environment. Pay is weekly and wouldn't last long. Most staff were nice and helpful. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Variety and progression of jobs and shifts. Overtime.

Sometimes there is a breakdown of communication and a lack of transparency. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally very good.  Most people get on well. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No two days are the same. I am used for several jobs.

Do not take a job at this company,the management and  training are very poor. I found communication by management extremely poor, turnover in staff is constantly high.If offered a job by the agency Alstaff do  not take it.Terrible company

Quite good place to work office nice but no canteen on site just drink machines.
Mgt were ok and was pretty relaxed atmosphere even though we were very busy. Had some computerised systems but still used paper with handwritten notes.

Awful place to work, repetitive with minimal breaks which are unpaid. Management does not care about you whatsoever, you're just a figure to them. Absolutely to the highest degree of a soul sucking job and id be wary to begin employment here

Good experience of working with a large business. Paid really well but there was an overwhelming feeling of being detached from other main areas of the business 

Not a bad job not the greatest have to do early back 6/2 2/10 pay is pretty good for what you are doing fairly easy job people who I worked with where all nice people and weekly pay.
