* As we go into Implementation phase of the programme I am now concentrating on training and change requests to resolution paths from the workstreams which involves a lot of 1-2-1 meetings with Stakeholders to understand a process and the changes which are required and then a lot of Visio MAP processing , change to project documentation and then monitoring the review and sign off process.
* I have learned a lot from Scottishpower and particularly this programme - Team and Process Management, Workshops facilitation and Visio Mapping, Hand off to IT and Testing - how to improve a business and how to improve yourself
* Co-workers at the moment are our 3rd party SAP Implmentation Partners as well as Scottishpower Analysts - they come from all over the world and this has been an exciting opportunity to get to know people from a diverse range of backgrounds. I have organised a lot of the social evenings with up to 20 - 30 people attending. This helps build stong relationships across the programme
* Testing is the hardest part as we are reliant on 3rd parties creating the test data which can take a while. While we are in testing phase the workshops have ceased and there is not much interaction between people - I'm a very 'hands on' person so this is a diffuclt time at the moment for me.
* Workshop facilitation was the most enjoyable part where I lead over 100 workshops with Stakholders from the buisness and our IBM counterparts to agree a best fit buisness solution for Exception points and processes. This was fast paced and very interactive.

This job is face paced, your provided with statistics to adhere to which are unrealistic when dealing with a variety of customers on a daily basis. Customers can be rude, irate and down right derogatory which can make the job very difficult when continually trying to keep a positive demeanour. Management do not care about you, that’s pretty self explanatory within the workplace and the constant emails regarding statistics. It’s understandable that these need to be adhered to as these are set out by the company, but they should be made more realistic. Mental health is only something that is discussed in an email that gets sent out on the odd occasion by Human Resources, but when it actually comes to helping employees, your felt pushed aside and feel as though your an inconvenience. If you want to work your way up the ladder be prepared to be used and not get paid for it. I’m employed by Tata consultancy services but work under a Scottish Power contract. And they are terrible. A company that wants you to do everything and in between but give pretty much nothing in return, alongside Scottish powers decisions to provide incentives for sales but continue to lower and lower them. But make sure that asking for sales gets more strict over time. So your doing a lot and not getting much in return. Wouldn’t recommend, if you were to get a job here I would advise it to be temporary and not long term.

As part of the team at EC, the campaign with Scottish Power involves me working from 11.30am-8pm Mon-Fri and one saturday in every month. 
It also involves you to be self-motivated and able to make a positive impact on the business by building an excellent rapport with every customer, demonstrating excellent communication skills and have a positive and enthusiastic manner in and out of the working environment. The job itself is a outbound sales role, contacting a range of customers, and dealing with them appropriately. You have to understand the role of data protection and able to notice a venerable customer and how to approach accordingly. 

The compliance is very strict there, which is understandable. Having put inplace a confirmation team for every sale before signing the sale off.

There commssion scheme is good, although when cancellatons of the sale are made the agent will not get paid for that sale, even if the cancellation is out of the agents hands. 

I'd have to say they are understanding of people having personal issues, but not very fair on if you need emergancy holidays/days off. 

The mangerment are boarderline average, they like to see you succeed, just sometimes comes across and bossy and cockiness. Which personal i'm not a fan of. They do have a great bunch of agents working with in the company, having a good laugh and blasting the music.

40 hour a week shifts and you don't get paid for your dinner.
Shifts are either early starts (8am & part/all Saturday) or lates (2-10pm no Saturday), no chance of getting a 9-5
they used to do unsocial hours pay but got rid of that 
There is so much to learn for a minimum wage job e.g. a poor system, bills, DD's, workitems, constant complaints
the chance of advancement is very low, the managers pick their favourites to progress
The hardest part of the job is the constant complaints, there is a complaint procedure and a complaints line but its not fit for purpose and you will get multiple customers screaming down the line at you about a complaint you cannot touch and the managers flat out refuse to take an escalated call
also the amount of wrap time between calls is supposed to be literally 0, if you don't take a call straight away after hanging up the previous call you will get disciplined 

the best part of the job is that you do get paid for doing it, some of the people you meet there are nice, there is also the opportunity to get sales for selling boiler cover to existing customers, however bare in mind the majority of customers phone up to scream down the phone at you and they are not going to buy anything 

but if you badly need a job you can probably get this one because there is an ever revolving door

A typical day at work requires me to Answering inbound and making outbound calls to customers. Dealing with all billing payments. Amending Direct Debit payment along with changing and promoting different tariffs. working on SAP system. Resolving customer complaints. Retaining existing customers along with offering customers alternative products. Making appointments for engineers regarding change of meters for customers and liaising with customers for a convenient time for this to take place. Dealing with all administration duties as required. Cross selling of products. At all times making sure I give the best customers service.
i learn lots of things in my daily routine working at Scottish Power and i put whatever i learn into effect everyday.
our management team is very effective at Scottish Power i know if i have a problem i can confidently talk to our management team and i know any issues will be resolved, our adherence manager is dedicated to watching our performance to help us keep on track on targets and SLA time. 
In my opinion there isnt a hard part of my job. i enjoy every aspects and the challenges it brings me.
the most enjoyable part of my job is customer satisfaction.

In my term of working there, I really enjoyed it at the beginning, it was fast paced and i was partially thrown into the deep end and told to swim but that is what i liked.
Management at my branch were 50/50. Some were amazing and i cant fault them, others had ego trips and set unrealistic expectations.
Company targets were unreasonable, especially if those target's were not being met, you were pulled into daily meetings regarding this, meetings with HR and the bigger bosses as well. This causes extreme anxiety because you feel pressured to pressure customers for those targets, every call is listened to and you feel like you cant do your job. Every single thing you do is watched and monitored, and if you arent meeting the daily targets, despite even having a track record of doing so, you're threatened with being let go from management, and once your penalised those meetings are tailored so that you are let go from the company regardless of genuine reasons.
I cannot fault them for their lockdown process, staff and IT were overworked trying to get us set up but i had nothing but system issues from the beginning and it was blamed on myself.

The call center within Scottish Power Energy Nerworks is poorly managed. The operations manager can only be described as a despot. The managers are terrified of her, however are too weak to stand up to her, instead they choose to direct frustration at call center staff, who overall work incredibly hard. There is no consistency of training. Working a 12 hour shift with 40 minutes off the phones over the time period is normal practice. With any toilet breaks timed to the second. The bullying and fear based culture is deliberate and creates an incredibly stressful working environment, the constant worry about losing your job is incredibly unhealthy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. Management do not have the skills required to manage people. 
Decent bonus system during storms, Despot management are desperately trying to micromanage this to prevent staff receiveing what they are due.

o	Creation of statistical data for response to Forecast Business Plan Questionnaire.
•	Involvement with British Electricity Trading and Transmission Access Project.
o	Co-ordination and management of design outputs regarding organizational impact.
o	Creation and maintenance of impact chart showing high and low risks during the process.
o	Creation and implementation of new time recording process facilitating business for the team.
•	Management of all risk registers for 6 projects.
•	Tracking all milestones achieved for plans covering 3 projects.
•	Diary management, arranging all UK and overseas travel and accommodation, recording business mileage and expenses.

Worked here Jan 2017 as a Customer Service Assistant.
You do 4 weeks 'classroom' based training before you go live on the phones to customers. The trainer, was the foulest mouthed person I'd ever met; something he shared in common with young lad in my group. This lad also insisted in on being on his mobile phone when in the classroom logged onto their in house computer systems...A SECURITY BREECH!...despite ever desperate warnings from the trainer to put it away!
When you go live on the phones you are put into 'Grad bay' for newbies, but the calls aren't filtered so customers take pot luck if they're talking to an experienced member of staff or not. Note to customers...If you're put on hold a lot then you've probably got a newbie!
To top it all, their HR dept decided that out of a group of 10 new starters on a salary of 16k pa, they were going to randomly select me to be on a salary of 27k! 

Let's face it...If they can't get their own house in order how they going to get a customers house in order?!

This is probably one of the worst jobs I have done, its quick rubbish training and no basic pay.
I was thrown in a room with all new people in a back office in the town centre we were given a pitch and told what to do at peoples doors. We were told to pair up with one person who had been there a while. That same first day we go to an area we don't know and start knocking on doors listening to our paired partner give out a pitch that was wrote badly and try to sell our services for the customer to change over to us. After day one you go back to office and told this job is 10 till 10 every day with no set pay if you made a sale you get paid, if not, you don't. You will have your own team within a week which you did not that you knew how to manage them when you had never had management skills but the hours were bad and everything was to rushed I didn't like it so a left an I am so glad I did.
