ShelterBox is an incredible organisations that values employees as well as the donors and beneficiaries. I would describe ShelterBox as a people centred organisation that places much emphasis on cooperations and team work. The management team are extremely supportive, they encourage creativity and learning. The most enjoyable part of my job was working with people who were so passionate about what they did, people genuinely loved where they worked and this was evident in the fact that most staff at some point volunteered outside of their working hours to raise awareness or simply answer phone calls for donations if it was a busy period. The hardest part about this job was leaving.

Culture of fear and there was no  work life balance at all. A charity should be transparent but this place is not. They survive on unspent donations. It is a culture of fear ran by accounts and lawyers. This was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. There were mental health problems, court cases and all sorts of misconduct among senior management.

friendly staff and efficient way of doing things. Communication among team members is useful. I was on a temporary contract that could have been extended and would happily go back to work there
