different cultures and also how to work with management team communication is very important the hardest part on this role is the time when we have shot of staff and is getting busy that makes difficult to cope, The most enjoyable time is when we have a good team working together and build good relationship and network of people.

A company that sticks together during tough markets. when the chips are down we turn to each other not on each other. Those in the same position as myself were always willing to help each other to keep our plants operating, as was I. The position I was in was very hands-on, challenging and autonomous. These were all great aspects of the position. I was empowered with the ability to make any change that I desired within my operation. Sonoco is a company that gives you the opportunity to manage how you like as long as you meet your metrics. I was very impressed with everyone I worked with especially the regional management. Upper management was sometimes difficult to understand plant issues because they were out of touch with them.

A typical day at Sonoco-Trident can be so varied, inefficiencies are not tolerated and employees are given the right tools, encouragement and trust to solve day to day issues.
I started there as a 16-year-old fresh out of school and left 12 years later with a plethora of knowledge in the pre-press/graphic design/brand management/print industries.
It is a place where if you work hard and have the right attitude it can take you anywhere not only in the business but around the world too.
Would recommend Sonoco-Trident to anyone interested in furthering their career whilst also working with some awesome colleagues.

Bradford production line - Never felt more unwelcome at a job. I was pushed by a staff member in first week and management were not interested. Supervisor who stands a few feet away from you staring as you work and speaks to staff like they are dirt. Apart from a very few staff no one will help a new starter. If you say hello to staff you are either ignored or given a funny look. Line managers try to intimidate staff constantly and try to trick you to see if you will break the rules. Favourite staff and family of line managers can get away with doing what they. Had to leave as line managers didn't want to know about any of this but try to tell you how professional they are. Disgusting work experience. Shame on you sonoco 

I worked in the warehouse loading & unloading vans. I worked in the press shop where i sorted the press operatives with there materials & clear there pallets away once completed. When i worked the night shift i was the only FLT driver in having to sort the 2 or 3 machines with the materials i.e board, layerpads, pallets & labels. I had to clear the machines when the pallets had been wrapped. Inbetween all that i had to load 4 trailers on my own. Working the 12 hour night shifts was my most enjoyable times I enjoyed the pressure of loading 4 trailers & sorting the materials out for the machines.

I worked the switchboard, answering the phones, made orders for products and set up meeting rooms. I also sorted out the post and placed them within the correct staff pigeon holes. I assisted the receptionist with the invoices and sending out any important emails and letters. I learnt how to use a switchboard and gained customer service skills. I also learnt how to multitask. My co workers were fun. The hardest part of the job was when I first started I was asked to make an order which I was not advised how many products I was to ask for. The most enjoyable part of the job was typing up emails and letters to customers and other business'

I started Trident during a difficult period and it proved extremely stressful to learn as quickly as the company wanted as well as trying to juggle the mass work load.
Overall most of the people are really kind and caring and the company offers some great opportunities and fun times (when there is no COVID).
I personally struggled with my mental health when working for Trident due to the large amount of pressure being put on me to learn difficult things really quickly, but if you are skilled enough you will enjoy your time with the company.

they moved to chesterfield half of workers were redundant It was nice job with lots of days off .I learned how to repair and fix many machines what i found practical in future life also different type of managering than in others companies typical american managering system People were nice and work there for very long time what made them cooperate in their own ring family trees and collegues all keep together so is hard for new workers that was the only problem

I really enjoyed my time at Sonoco, the work was sometimes stressful when something breaks and you have a deadline, but everyone pulled together to get things going again. You work as a team and really make some brilliant friends. The management were lovely and cared about you as people and helped whenever there was issues. The engineers know their stuff and are a great help. I only left after having my son and wanted to work part time while he was young but i would absolutely go back in the future

Negative: so much training they expecting from employer to do everything winder creel knift packer cleaner forklift driver.....

- bad management and if they want to sack they will do it in dirty why
- canteen poor
-workplace is dusty and you will feel it when you clean your nouse each end of shift

-health and safety is the last think you can takl about
