The actual job is easy (maybe too easy) but thankfully there is a high level of disjointed management to make it all the more stressful.
I worked as a 3.5t multi drop driver for 5 long years in that time I was also a communication representative, a 5S champion & a health and safety representative.
When I first started it was an absolute breeze sure long day but delivering tyres and picking up casings(waste tyres) is exactly rocket science.
Over the years the company obviously expanded & took new measures like adding cameras to the Van's (safety first right) but they also put in driver facing camera's which you think fine in an accident I'm covered but alas they're reviewed all the time so you are pulled up for even the tiniest thing.
This lead to a total "them & us" culture that got (still is getting) worse & this made the job beyond stressful. I personally had had enough after one incident  I had had a load onboard (loaded by warehouse team ) that collapsed onto me causing very painful injuries, I managed to complete my run (in blinding agony) upon returning I reported it & asked to be taken to hospital.
I was off work for almost a month. Within that time I was asked to come to work for an accident investigation (or face a disciplinary action. 
I went in went through the course of event & returned home to recover while still on sick leave with my injuries I was told that I wouldn't be paid because the accident was my fault...BECAUSE I WASN'T WEARING A HIGH VIZ VEST.
Oh yeah that right the high viz VEST at STS can repel gravity. 
Now as a health and safety representative I knew the ins and outs of compliance & also knew this was a load of sh...(guess what word!)
From there the bullying got worse & by the end I was being told the company wanted a full physical & MENTAL  assessment done on me.
I was beyond shocked & left...I made sure I left on quite terms.
But I warn you now this company isn't worth working for...if you value your sanity.

By far the worst warehouse I've ever worked in!  I've worked in warehousing and logistics for over 20 years I applied for warehouse operative job at Stapleton's tyres Wakefield in Nov 2021 and was successful the interview was terrible I was only there for 5 mins didn't show me around no explanation of the processes I got a start date for the 15th Nov the day I started I was put straight on stock controller job not warehouse operative job which is what I signed Up for on my contract 
I spoke to my colleague who was also a stock controller he told me he had to wait 4 months for his contract to be amended from warehouse operative to stock controller at that point alarm bells started to ring but I decided to give It a go for few weeks hoping things would change regarding my contract after 3 weeks I contacted HR to see about my contract shortly after I got off the phone I was approached by the warehouse manager and told to leave it for a few weeks then he would arrange for my contract to be redone so. Basically I was asked to do a job I wasn't contracted on for 8 weeks minimum with the same pay as warehouse operative I immediately left and found new employment 
Also I was forced to work 2 Saturdays a month regardless of what it says on the company rules and regulations 
There was more managers and supervisors than normal staff all abused there position by choosing there own hours leaving early my first week I was left alone for 2 hours every night for almost a month 
Stressful job trying to find space tyres here there and everywhere but no room day in day out walking round trying to find space that's not there no help from management what so ever infact the worst warehouse manager I've ever dealt with 

In the interview you are sold dreams about flexibility, early starts and early finishes. This job is idea if you have no family as you start between 5am and 7am and finish no ealier than 4pm if you're lucky. You are however paid an overtime rate but its almost complusary overtime.

Communication between departments can be very poor. The sales team will happly let you take out deliveries that have been cancelled just so they get a bonus whilst on the other hand you could have saved you'd yourself 30minute and the company some money in fuel and overtime payment. 

People are constantly leaving because the training is at the very most basic but your'e expected to know everything from day one. I got half a day of training and i was on my own the next day. I made a mistake withing a month or so of starting and was charged a hefty £154 docked of my wages. Accidents are recovered of your wages if the bill is less than £2k to save on insurance premiums. 

Confidential information is passed from management to employees over cigarette breaks then spreads throughout the company like wildfire.  
No one really cares about your well being, ive had dentist appointments cancelled because we're short staffed. When people call in sick, those that have turned up suffer and end up being burdens with double runs and late finishes instead of getting agency staff in, as long as the deliveries get done the management is happy . No respect for drivers at all. Pull you up on the slightest of things. Cant lick a lollipop without someone telling you off.

Delivery Van Driver (Former Employee) 9.4.19 
They have you working  you barely get to see a lunch break if you want to get home at a sensible time. I was usually overloaded with laced tyres and tyres wedged in the back doors so once opened they fall on you unless you catch them.They have such a large staff turn over here the warehouse staff that pre loads our vans don't get training and have been loading our vans which led me to having to drag out at least 50 tyres for the first 4-5 drops just to get to the few I needed. I never had any training, I was handed the keys, paperwork and PDA device then left to it. Everything I learnt here was through the garages that knew the routine delivery process. I always had to ring up to get the correct info form base on my route. So not only do they not give you any training at the wakefield depo, you will get warehouse staff and other drivers that are miserable due to the lack off training, now dont get me started on the office staff it is run by a bunch off monkeys that tell all the other drivers your business and what you have or haven't done My advice, avoid working here.The pay is poor for the hours you have to work and the work is terrible. You're just another number to them.

Worked at Stapletons for 3 weeks in August 2020.
Van loaded for you in the morning but check the first delivery note against what's by the door for your own peace of mind. Do your vehicle checks and note all damage before leaving the yard as the vans are mostly shabby and other drivers just get in them and go. 
Expect to turn up at 6.30am and leave the yard, only to find out that your first couple of drops won't be open until 8.30am. You'll have to call the office for most drops or wait if it's a Kwik-Fit branch. Don't expect much help unloading. Don't expect much help loading used cases either. 
Back to the yard and unload your used cases (some help provided) and returns. Get told where to go for your afternoon load and hang around while the warehouse sorts themselves out. If you're lucky you can get your afternoon run done without any issues and get back to the yard to unload any used cases and returns by about 5pm. if you're not lucky and the warehouse can't be bothered you'll still be driving at 7pm. 
Shifts average out at 11 hours per day over a couple of weeks. Heavy, dirty work. Poor management. Dirty vans left in full of litter by other drivers. No loyalty to temp staff, I was dropped like a hot rock after I'd covered for people who were on holiday. Hard to recommend

They have you working 12-13 hour days, you barely get to see a lunch break if you want to get home at a sensible time. They have such a large agency turn over here the warehouse staff that pre loads our vans don't get training and have been loading our vans which led me to having to drag out at least 50 tyres for the first 4-5 drops just to get to the few I needed. I never had any training, I was handed the keys, paperwork and PDA device then left to it. Everything I learnt here was through the retail garage customers that knew the routine delivery process. I was there nearly 6 weeks before I fully understood how to complete the entire debrief form based on may route and wasn't chasing up information every time. So not only do they not give you any training at the Portbury depo, you will get miserable warehouse employees(due to the work) that will cuss you blind for not knowing everything they know. My advice, avoid working here. The pay is poor and the work/life balance is terrible. You're just another barcode to them.

The warehouse in eurocentral has changed a lot in recent years. Night shift on average work the same 3x12 hr shifts sun to tue or weds to Fri, and there is no longer a back shift. Dayshift are Mon to Fri. This what the biggest issue the warehouse had as working 5 nights and back shift didn't work for most people, so the management listened and made the change to suit the vast majority of staff. They didn't need to do this. But did. The job it's self is mainly tipping containers and putting away tyres or picking tyres and loading on vans to go out to customers, amongst other tasks like replens and bay checks. The main focus is H&S and accuracy. The job is physically demanding. And you are kept going for the entire shift. But, does save u having to go to the gym in your own time. If u can follow the rules, do an honest days work and ur fair share of the teams work without the need to hold your hand,  u will enjoy it here! 
If ur not one for following the rules or need babysat then don't bother applying it will not be an enjoyable experience. It is a fast paced environment and everyone needs to work together as one team. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Early starts are good so you can get a relatively reasonable finish

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Waiting for the trailer to turn up with all the tyres on it that you'll be delivering. Then having to unload that trailer and load your truck and everyone else's so you're tired and dirty before you leave the depot. Then you deliver those tyres and pick up scrap tyres and bring those back to the depot where you have to unload the scrap onto the trailer to get taken away. You also have to help unload other trucks when they come back too. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's okay, all the drivers moan and say they are leaving but the management try their best

Having worked for Stapletons for a short while I had to address some of the negatives on here. At the Bristol hub all the management are brilliant, they will not expect you to do things they wouldn’t! Training is good, I was given two weeks of training before being sent out on my own. Without exception all the drivers and warehouse guys are friendly and welcoming to new staff. The only reason I had to leave was the work/life balance. The job does require you to work overtime, usually daily. Normally not a problem but with a young child at home and a career wife out all the time it wasn’t for me.
Finally it is a great, easy job with good workmates, I just wish I could of carried on. Recommended for all!!!

I’ve worked at Stapletons Wakefield for a very long time and have seen lots of staff come and go but on the other hand I have seen a fair few come and stay… It is not a bad place to work at all if you just get your head down, get stuck in and do your best what more can anybody ask? We have busy days and have quiet days you’ve just got to learn how to deal with busy days and take the rough with the smooth. Most of the lads are brilliant to work with and everyone’s heart seems to be in the right place. The pay could be better for the long serving staff but I would say that wherever I worked. If you are a grafter that’s got a bit about them come and be part of our team!!
