Stradivarius, and Inditex, can be quite a good company to work for. They have some of the best employee benefits on high street imo (you get discounts for all inditex stores as well as lots of offers through various company schemes, double pay on bank holidays, good commissions and on occasion, some bonuses), lots of opportunities to advance within the company from early on if they see your dedication, both to offices and to other stores, and wonderful store teams. The store is fast paced and there's always something to do and to learn. It's a great place to start off as a Sales Assistant and gather lots of experience.

However, if you work full time or close to it, you will have no life outside of work because of gruelling shift planning. A cycle of late closings and early openings and sparse days off can only go for so long before you feel like you haven't had time for most basic social needs. The poor holiday guidelines and lack of flexibility with days off is probably one of the top things why i left (extremely rare to get 2 days off in a row, no weekends, holidays have to be planned 6+ months ahead and cannot be changed/first come first serve basis). If you work 40 hours you will basically live there and, for my morale and progress, continuing with such an erratic schedule was no longer a doable routine.

Management can also be quite cliquey and it's very easy to feel left out if you are not Spanish/do not speak Spanish as even the head office employees and higher ups visiting will almost exclusively use Spanish in store.

There is a chance, if you apply externally as a VM or other higher responsible positions in store, they will ask you to come work as a sales assistant instead. This is just a way to get you on the position without giving you the contract for it. You will likely be taking on all the taxing VM/Responsible duties on a SA contract/pay, which is not worth it, in my opinion. I would suggest that unless you are inexperienced to begin with, do not fall for it.

I’ve worked for Stradivarius for almost a year. During that time I’ve worked as a sales assistant and I’ve been promoted to be a footwear merchandiser. The shop was very busy and there was not enough staff. I never had time to my job since I’ve been helping around the whole shop. I would’ve enjoyed the job a lot of I only had time for myself without being pressured. My store manager was an amazing person but sometimes he/ she couldn’t handle the stress so he/ she would snap at some of us. The people I’ve worked with were great and we were like a family. We all worked very hard. 

Working at Stradivarius felt fast-paced and very customer-focused, especially during peak hours and weekends when the store would get busy quickly. The atmosphere was energetic, with music, constant movement, and a strong emphasis on keeping the space looking “on brand” at all times. It taught me to stay calm under pressure because things could change in minutes—sudden queues, high footfall, or customers needing help all at once.

The team environment mattered a lot. When communication was good, the shift ran smoothly and everyone supported each other without needing to be asked. You had to be adaptable, take feedback well, and keep a positive attitude, because customer moods varied and you were expected to stay professional regardless. Overall, it was the kind of workplace where you develop confidence quickly and learn resilience, because you’re always balancing speed, presentation standards, and customer expectations.

I worked here as a temp and the management is honestly awful compared to other jobs. They’re always understaffed, a lot of the time you have to stay after your shift to tidy up because of this. You spend most of your shift unpacking, hanging and putting away clothes. Then the rest is spent tidying. No one on morning shifts tidy up, so it’s actually a nightmare for those who are closing. The only enjoyable part of the job was the people, talking with some of the other staff is the only thing that got me through my shifts. Also, it was a constant struggle trying to find out my rota for the next week, which made it extremely difficult to plan my life around work. I wouldn’t recommend working here unless you plan on working for less than 20 hours a week. 

This is one of the worst places to work at. They barely train you on things like absences. Lateness and lunch. Management shouts at staff and customers, literally made 3 staff in a week cry especially the head/line manager. Only one or two managers that are nice but done respect your privacy. Wont get time off for funerals etc. Management treat people like they are nothing. Staff is nice but everyone is constantly stressed. Honestly not worth the money. 

highly demanding, will try to get as much as possible from you in as little time as possible. Fast paced, especially delivery method; the amount of unit you have to open in an hour is calculated. You're treated like a robot. Twice a week you have deliveries and a lot of the times VERY large amount of stock that you have to coordinate along with opening the delivery. The shop change that happens twice a month, in order to be enjoyable you need time to get organise and prepare the application of the guidelines, something that you don't get. Therefore it's tiresome and wearisome.

The management is not good and they give you the bare minimum salary. Just to working over time with no money. You don't have flexible hours and you can working for 6 hours with no break for anything. Do a favor to yourself and don't work there. The only thing they want you to do is to living for the job nothing else you can't have time for your private life. They don't understand that you want a part time job you can work for 10-12 hours with only on break. 

Pros:

• Lovely customers. 
• Monthly bonuses. 
• Monthly progress reviews.

Cons:
• Lack of training.
• Lack of variety, in terms of tasks, which made most shifts feel monotonous.
• Limited opportunities to learn new skills.
• Long shifts with one short break and no lunch.
• Never received a uniform.
• Often felt excluded.
• Poor management.

Managers don't treat everyone equal. Also they promising overtime (if you have 20 h contract and you living by yourself of course you can not survive for 600 per month!) but after they just hiring more and more people and they just ignoring you. Even if you doing your best you are not gonna hear "great job" they always stressing you out and it is never enough for them.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They have a friendly working environment, customer handling would be very easy by working with them.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
At busy time you're gonna out of your breath for hanging and folding clothes
