Paid for 10 hour shift, it’s a 50 hour week but you’re  expected to work 12-14 hours with “forced overtime” and only give you an extra pound for it, that’s more like a 60/70 hour week. Some guys sleep between loads coming in leaving you wondering what to do or getting into bother for joining them, You’ll work maybe 19:30-08/09am because they expect you to work overtime everyday regardless if you have family commitments such as childcare etc. there’s zero training whatsoever and it’s a free for all. I can quote “smoke when you want, be on your phone when you want”. There is no probationary meetings at all to make sure your on track. And don’t expect to be asked to do overtime  quite simply you must do it everyday or you’ll fail probation. Good luck to anyone who has family especially young kids who end up working here.

Would go back if I got the chance .

The then depot manager and some of the admin traffic coordinators

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Was ok  ,slight bullying element if you're face didn't fit. But on the whole ok. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Straight forward enough if you what you're doing and what's asked of you. Got to be ready to accept changes at last minute.as it's general haulage.

Its a good place to work but management dont take notice of problem within the workplace and they give you 1 week to get up to speed and if your not as there a lot to learn your out the door as fast as they start you and the night shift supervisor he is a complete waste of space they have lost a lot of good workers because he thinks he can treat people like sh_te and nothing gets done about it so just watch out people hes untouchable in there as he says.

Nothing,not a good company to work for

The more you do the more they give you, and you get no thanks for it whatsoever.

 Very Depressing no good moral about the place

Just liked to get away out on  my run as quickly as possible

Dealing with transport office as very badly run

A typical day is very depressing and morale is very low

Streamline Shipping are a company that give people with the right attitude a chance, even with little experience. The workplace is both friendly and supportive, with lots of opportunities to progress and gain more knowledge and training. I have found the safety culture very good, I have always been encouraged to make safety a priority and to report any issues to management. 

Job started very well, excellent line manager. Great earning potential,  long hours but worth it. Then upper management dropped all trampers from their jobs in a week because of their poor management skills and lied about profits because they felt we were earning too much. Tried to cut hourly rates and length of shifts. Avoid !!!!

The manager will smile in your face and cuss you when you turn your back..! You are treated like agency.. every driver is temporary hired depending on the company needs. 

Good at training staff - worked hard and played hard - great being in centre of Aberdeen and meeting so many people from all over the world.  Being in harbour is very interesting.
