Swarovski had a complete overhaul in the way they run the business and a lot of the new measures that were implicated were frustrating. Flexibility in the job became low due to a new system called Kronos randomly generating shifts and as a part time member of staff I was only contracted 12 hours but often found myself working between 24 and 30 hour weeks. It was difficult to learn exact protocols for handling difficult situations as the two managers were very indecisive about what the best way to handle things was. I felt I needed more support when dealing with irate customers so this was the most challenging part of the job. I loved my team as we had a great dynamic and support network, and working with a luxury product is exciting and glamourous. I learnt a lot about teamwork and coping under pressure, but also how the retail industry operates and how targets are achieved. I had a lot of fun working with Swarovski, but I found the hours frustrating when trying to factor in studying for my last year exams.

I was starting in the company from Sales Consultant then I got promoted to Senior Sales. That was really nice place to work. I learn so manythings from the business. It was a store target to achieve monthly. We need to help each other for the bonus. If your team is strong, you will get everything you want. We espect who know what you are doing. It doesn't matter you are in any position of the team. If your performance shine up, you will gain the reward. I would suggest to work as a team than individual. There is available short or long hour shift, not paying for lunch break. You can work overtime either on your base store or other. They might pay for your travel if you cover the other store. There are focus on face to face customer, inquiry by phone, reply email from office, customer relations or internal used. And you will need to invlove for store pomotion, this is global company so you will need to know how business is though company channel. I learnt about the history and values of the company, how to take care of their products, the importance of the Swarovski Crystal Society, and how to get customers to join this unique and important Crystal Society family.
Managing a Swarovki concession was fun, challenging and educative.
My team was very co-operative and we all worked as one family. there was very good communication between us, though sometimes, things could be rough but we managed to work it out. All the appraisals I did for each member of staff was productive as I did show them from their KPI data the level of their performance, we agreed on one to one training to improve each staff customer service  plus selling skills.

The hardest part of the job has been dealing with  difficult customers who wanted to fake Swarovski products in exchange for money or a genuine Swarovski product, as the answer will obviously be NO, they become aggressive and had to be escorted out of the shop.

The most enjoyable part of the was being part of a wonderful and when we exceed out target.

My time at Swarovski was the best first (payed) job I have ever had, I applied during the Christmas season and did not think at all I would be given a chance due to me having no experience...but I persuaded them (somehow). My charm perhaps? Any who the staff were amazing and very helpful, due to the amount of sales I had bought in throughout Christmas and how much the customers warmed to me, they kept me on. Additionally as I was flexible that helped a lot. It was a great company and do hope to work there again...if I can get passed the whole process again. I had to leave due to moving up North to attend University. However only CON were the lunch breaks (10 minutes), at the time I joined the company have been making some drastic changes. Although if you were there longer you get an 1 hour of course.

Overall it's a great place to work! 

The hardest part of the job is balancing operations and customer service simultaneously, especially as we provide a much more personal service than a lot of retail. Motivating the team against large targets is also quite a challenge, especially as retail is on the decline, so the targets are often just out of reach.

The most enjoyable part of the job was definitely serving and building rapport with customers, seeing regulars come back singing your praises is a fantastic feeling. Also, training members of the team to further their development is a very rewarding experience

Working at Swarovski as a Sales Associate has been a rewarding experience in many ways. The company offers generous staff discounts, and hitting monthly sales targets comes with great bonuses, which is definitely a strong incentive. The team environment at the store level is generally supportive and collaborative, making daily shifts enjoyable.

However, upper management tends to be disorganised, and communication from the top down is often unclear or delayed. This can create unnecessary stress and confusion on the shop floor. Additionally, while there are performance-based rewards, the company should really consider revising base salaries to better reflect individual contributions and living costs.

Overall, a good place to work if you’re goal-driven and enjoy retail, but improvements at the corporate level would make a big difference.

I love working at Swarovski, my team are amazing and there’s a good atmosphere in the store. With the new rebranding has come some amazing changes to the jewellery and crystal, a needed change.

The only bad thing about this job is the pay. It’s just over the national living wage (not the London living wage might I add) but hasn’t gone up in a year and a half since joining although the workload has doubled. We now have to manage clients, the moving of the jewellery on the shop floor over and over again, the new luxury level of service we are expected to give to each and every customer, the in-depth product knowledge required for the role. All of this and more, but not a single penny more to account for this added work load. 

We are moving into the luxury jewellery market, we should at least be paid a competitive rate for this market.

I have enjoyed my time working at Swarovski, however my enjoyment comes from my team members and managers. They have made my time worth while and fun, how the company is run is a different story. 
Lack of communication within departments, not being backed by the company against rude customers, very often telling us to ignore abusive behaviour or saying it’s our fault. 
The customer service team is severely understaffed and is often not well trained in certain Swarovski policies leading to confusion. The most recent rebrand as well has really shown that their eyes are in the money with 2020 and 2024 being the only years as of recent for Swarovski to turn a profit, this has lead to A LOT of cost cutting that directly effects work flow and making the products more expensive whilst being cheap quality 

I had learned how to deal with the customer as to how i should approach them and also to welcome them in store, this had helped me to increase my communication skills with the customers. The management of the business was very good because if i had any problems i was able to go and speak to them. My co-workers were very friendly and easy to get along with because if i had any problems they would help me for example if i couldn't find a product they would come and show me where it is. The hardest part of my job was when i didn't know where the some of the stock was in the stock room which took me sometime to get used to is. The most enjoyable part of the job was using the tills to serve customers and also when taking out the jewellery and showing it to the customers.

I was taken up as maternity cover and in the year of working at Swarovski I have never felt so much purpose and drive. Being a part of the team was like working with family, and its ironic because its foundations are the family unit. I always pushed myself, because I wanted to. I honestly loved every customer and chatting with them about their collections and found myself talking new buyers into wanting to start their own. Its nothing like I have seen before in an organisation. At the time I was finishing off my law degree now due to complete my masters I need to find my way back! If the opportunity came up not even COVID could stop me lol.
