I have been working for Swim Now since September last year (2022) and I cannot recommend this company enough. 

You work very independently which I love, but management/ the rest of the team are always there when you need them, through private message or our fantastic team chat. They treat you with a lot of respect and everyone works together. 
Any advice needed for clients they’re always there to help, some of the team work in specialist areas like performance coaching so it’s great that you can really pick their brains and learn from them.

Even though you probably won’t meet everyone face to face, as we work all around in different pools, you feel like you know everyone and it’s a really great sense of community. 

Swim Now have a really nice approach with letting you teach how you like to teach. They’re not over your shoulder watching how you do it, you can teach your style, of course they offer advice when needed like I said. 
They equip you with standard equipment when you start... floats, sinkers, toys etc, and then you can buy your own too if you think something with greatly help your teaching, which they pay back. 

The company has really fantastic reward schemes/ bonuses which really encourage you and push yourself to be the best. It also shows a work pathway/ progression so you can work your way up the company and earn pay rises/ promotions etc, which is my goal currently. 

They also have a very fair view on holidays which are paid for too, and hours are pretty flexible, as in you can almost choose when you’d like to work (although I would advise times that clients can usually do like a weekend/ evening). 

Like I said, I cannot recommend this company enough and I have no negatives to say about it, I am loving my experience so far and actually look forward to working! 

I've been at swimnow for almost a year now, it was very independent work as a teacher until more teachers joined, but now we have a pleasant atmosphere with the hotel/spa staff and eachother not to mention all of our clients. SwimNow is great at filling out your calendar on the designated days of work, it took roughly one month for my managers to give me up to 9 hour workong days in the water nonstop. This can be very draining especially on consecutive days however my manager helped me come to a better work life balance to avoid overload whilst still retaining the majority of my clients.  

I achieved my first small payrise after my first quarter and I'm now in line for another in the coming months so the progression within the company is apparent as they also advertise in-house vacancies for the office. I enjoy my job here now I'm settled here now I understand more of the inner workings of the company. As a company they provide appropriate holidays paid in coordination with hours worked. Teachers are made to pay for extras such as carparking and any extra equipment like certificates then get reimbursed shortly after each payday. 
This role allows you to tailor lessons to exactly what the client wants, opposed to what the swim England guidelines say and usually no more than 2 learners at one time so not to be overloaded with too many children.

As a former teacher within Swim Now, i was able to build up a successful and consistent client base. I was able to earn a very good consistent salary each month with a great work/life balance. My commitment to maximising my diary was  rewarded with promotions (pay rises) and bonus schemes. This was a great addition to my monthly wage and a great motivator to enthuse and keep clients going passed their goals. It resulted with many referral clients which i could bring to the company. Management allowed for easy communication regarding any queries my clients had and supported by acting quickly for my clients, a great reflection on me and as a company.  
It was great to be left to manage your own diary and have the communication needed to support bookings or 1-1's offered to share progress and achievement. 
I have been a teacher for many years in various companies and i hadn't felt quite at home like i did with Swim Now. If you want to impress and be rewarded, this is the company that allows you to do that. 



I’ve been working with swim now for just over a year, and I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve always felt that support was on hand when necessary, especially when in cases of family emergencies, I was met with the support that I needed from management. 
The best part about working with swim now is the creativity within the lessons, I can adapt each lesson to each individual as and when needed, and the feedback from clients really makes it worth it. 
The pools that swim now use are lovely and all the staff that run the pools make it such an enjoyable atmosphere to work in. 
It can sometimes be difficult if there is a lot of gaps between lessons, but as my diary has filled up recently, I’ve had to deal with this a lot less. 
I’m a student and so I teach with swim now part time, and I think the hours work really well alongside my university work, and the pay is very fair. 

I work 4 days a week for Swim Now,  roughly evens out to about 5-6 hours of teaching per day. If you have a passion for swimming and sharing that through teaching then this is a great opportunity. As you work alone, your communication needs to be good between your venue, clients and your line manager to ensure the program runs as smooth as possible.
Since the restructuring of the office teams in December '23, my support has been great and my client log has increased so I'm earning more.
The hardest part of the job is probably managing the pool space when it's a busy session, but if your confident that won't be a problem. The best part of the job is teaching all ages and abilities, seeing someone progress and enjoy swimming after starting out with some anxiety for being in the pool.

As a former teacher of the company and now current member of the management team, this is a great company to be a part of to build a client base, your working hours, progression for teaching pay and support from your colleagues along the way. As a teacher you can gain more experience with a variety of children &  adult lessons in 1-1's and 2-1 lessons. There is also potential to progress into a higher position if suited and able to demonstrate your ability to be consistent with your teaching role. There isn't many challenging parts to the job as long as you are able to put the work in and you will gain the rewards. The most enjoyable part is being part of a successful team of people who are able to deliver high quality lessons and support each other to achieve the best of you.   

As a swimming teacher for Swim Now you have an amazing opportunity to work sustainable hours and earn well in a job that you love!

Meeting a diverse range of people keeps you energised even throughout long shifts. And working on a 1-2-1 basis, building a rapport with everyone you meet allows you to see how much you are genuinely improving their lives. Job satisfaction is so high seeing how people are meeting their goals due to your hard work!

The management team are extremely helpful in guiding you through your new role within the Swim Now team, and offer plenty of advice on how you can progress!

They give you a contract, it is not self employed, they also worked around my college hours.

Traveling if you don't have a car. Traveling by public transport is possible but requires much more planning.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pools are beautiful, staff are nice and a whole team behind you supporting you.

Hot environments, very social, At times busy.

Working for Swim Now was a perfect step for my swim teaching career. The nature of lessons are 1:2:1 and 2:1, with a mixture of ages and abilities which meant there was a wide variety. 

As a swim teacher you had scope to teach in a style which worked for you and the individual and how you achieved their goals was up to you.

I found management supportive and very understanding. From working full time, having a thriving diary and then having to relocate (for personal reasons but wanted to stay in the company) the team couldn’t have been more accommodating and enabled me to move with a piece of mind that I was able to still be a member of their team.
