Senior Data Analyst – Temporary Position

•	Providing excellent inbound customer service/helpdesk
•	Responsible for resolving queries and dealing with technical related issues

I am driven and motivated to continue to develop my career in a nurturing and rewarding and dynamic environment. My past employment has given me many transferable skills, from working as part of a team, fantastic communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving and great organisational skills. 
Alongside my career, I was the Chair for two years of my Children’s primary school where I used my skills, organising events, raising funds for the school and working closely with the teachers and other PTA members. I have successfully run my own child care business, whilst raising my children. I am now in a position where I am ready to resume my career in an office environment. My current role, working for the London Stock Exchange, has given me invaluable experience. I am able to effectively communicate and give excellent customer service, solve difficult problems, multitask and develop my IT skills. I would suit and enjoy a role in media/music and television.

The environment is very inclusive, the majority of management are supportive of flexible working arrangements. Management strategy is very fluid, the business has been under constant organisational change for a long period and the level of change is increasing under the new Refinitiv brand.

My work start everyday at 7 AM , with printing all the events and meetings sheets for the day and send them to the relevant floors with work allocated to team members. Managing all the events. Providing VIP service for breakfast, lunch & dinner to Chairman & CEO and their valuable guests from all over the world.  Stock ordering, liaising with head chef about all the requirements for the day. Maintaing all books. Preparing sales figure & forecast. Usually its 8 hours every day but have to stay during evenings if any event in evening. I enjoy everything about my work .  It gives me confidence and allows me to make decision how to run events, last minute changes normally is a challenge however depends on its severity. I get to meet different people through events. I like to take ownership.

My time at LSEG was marred by inefficiencies and a rigid management style that stifled creativity. A typical day often involved navigating bureaucratic hurdles. The company culture leaned towards prioritizing protocol over innovation, making it difficult to implement new ideas or learn from industry best practices. The most challenging aspect was the lack of transparency from upper management, which often left employees in the dark about company decisions. The workplace culture felt outdated, with a noticeable resistance to adopting more progressive and inclusive practices. The most enjoyable part of the job was the camaraderie with fellow colleagues, who were also underutilized due to the company's entrenched ways.

A typical workday at LCH starts at 9 (sometimes 9.30) and ends between 5 and 6 pm. When working in sales, people are required to be flexible with working hours and travel as and when required.

Management are not transparent enough with their teams and there is a lack of guidelines, clear expectations and clear targets. This can leave employees in the dark and not sure what is expected from them to succeed.

The hardest part of the job is work with ancillary departments (e.g product or other business lines whose priorities are different to sales). There is a lack of alignment, cooperation and transparency.

The company had very historic views on the ways of working and would not bring those up to current times especially working from home, working remotely and managing own time. I worked on multi national countries but did not take into consideration any expertise on those countries, attempting to apply a UK stance. The company was dismissive to new ideas and change, senior management having no experience of Insurance yet making decisions based on UK operations and internal opinions. The culture appeared to be a typical busy environment with little time for interaction between teams which seemed to be promoted.

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the London Stock Exchange Group, I managed end-to-end recruitment across global teams, with a focus on sourcing niche and high-calibre talent. A typical day involved stakeholder engagement, candidate screening, and market mapping. I gained valuable exposure to financial markets, global hiring practices, and internal mobility strategies. The culture is inclusive and collaborative, though at times impacted by bureaucracy and slow progression. The most challenging part was balancing high workloads and limited career growth, while the most enjoyable aspect was working with intelligent, driven professionals in a dynamic, international environment.

LSEG - FTSE  has been without any doubt one the best companies I have ever worked thanks to the people I have worked with at Enterprise Support Services both Front Line and Back Line. 

Most of the team are Senior Engineers and everyone feels welcome. The Company Code of Conduct flows naturally in the environment as one can feel is treated with respect. 

Really miss to work for a company with senior colleagues where everyone feels part of the team and shares knowledge and skills to achieve company goals.

Typical 6:30am to 9:00am shift changes depending upon the day. Daily Mail sorting and delivery to required posts and In-House clients. Management Standards are good. Accept compromise in advance notification or for good causes only. A sociable environment throughout the whole building where people are always willing to help. Hard to make and adhere promises told to unknown clients as this is an ever-changing environment. Meeting greeting new workers contractors around the building.
