It’s a shame that what used to be a good company to work for has been ran into the ground by the head of Operations and Director of the Frome site, that have also ran other companies into the ground before this one.

The morale is unbelievable low and the only thing that management are worried about is there group mid week gym session in working hours and pie charts. Hopefully you don’t come into any issues whilst working in the Frome site as no head of will care and won’t do anything about it. But what do you expect when they have no people skills.

It’s seems now the only way to get somewhere in the company is to be a brown nose rather than have experience or knowledge. 
If you want to work in a company that people have no faith in the people running the show, this is the place to go. 
 
Dont be fooled though you will have presentations about how well the company is doing and all the profits it’s making and what they’re expecting to make. But you won’t get rewarded for any of this, lf you’re lucky you might  get some gift boxes of stock they can’t sell that has  been sat in the warehouse since it was made in 2012. 


Avoid at all costs.

In the last 3 years this business has been ran so far into the ground by owners who think they know how to run a business and think they know what they are doing when if fact they don’t know what they are doing and have and still are ruining what was once a real good company to work for (when it was Acheson) my advice would be to avoid working here if you don’t want the life and soul sucked out of you and don’t give your time to the people that own this business because they don’t care which is a shame because the majority of people in production are nice and at least some management in production know what they are doing and actually make some days bearable (yellow shift) it’s just a shame that in time this company will probably non existent because of greedy money grabbers who think they know how to own a business 

If you want the life and soul sucked out of you on a daily basis, then this is work place for you! Thg Labs used to be good when it was Acheson & Acheson but unfortunately Thg Labs have destroyed the company from the inside out. Management are useless and do not listen to staff, employees back stab each other, morale is at an all time low. People are leaving constantly and after they have left, Thg Labs are advertising the same role with a new title for a lot less money! Know your worth!
Very small pay rises now (if any, and probably not this year) and no bonuses anymore, but they keep spending on unnecessary signs and safety improvements, it feels more like a pre-school than a work place.
On a positive note SOME staff there are good people, but not many.

Well what can I say!!

The place has gone downhill ever since THG bought it!
Made us work through covid, only for all the stock to stay in storage for the next year or so!! Then took our bonuses away!! Then making people redundant left right and centre! Closed the factory in Trowbridge just after they spent money to put a nice sign up on the building!  then made the night shift redundant, and just recently making up to 100 people redundant, even people with massive experience are leaving! But still, they are taking on temp staff & agency workers on!! 
The best thing is the people, well some should I say, when they are not slagging you off behind your back! The shift managers are great, fantastic guys who make the work place a joy to work in with some fantastic banter & laughter
My advice is stay away!

To many pointless procedures.
Numbers of brown nose loving managers grows when the quality of their work drops.
Good work is taken for granted when poor work is excused, on the same position for the same money. Health and safety issues are dismissed until an accident happens. Production is the only priority. Professional and hardworkers feel expendible, easily replaceable and their work not appreciated. This is the most objective opinion based on observation. My personal opinion based on experience is way worse.

It is a horrible place to work so toxic. You get told the company is doing really well but when it comes to pay rises or thanks it's doing terrible. The only way to progress is threatening to leave. yet the senior leadership team seem to be progressing into made up jobs just so they can be paid more and less to do as their work is then passed down on to the people actually doing the work so you end up doing the work of 3 or more people. Would not recommend what was a nice company is just being driven into the dirt 

The role of your job changes pretty much daily, dealing with different products each time. This was quite nice as it switched the role up alittle bit to avoid repetitiveness. however this is still likely to get boring but i wasn’t there too long. You had different people in your group each day so it was nice to speak to so many different people with different backgrounds. Must admit some people are a little of though, had some unpleasant things happen, however management dealt with things very well.

I have worked in several factories, this is the first factory where people are not rushed on line and stressed. I was very surprised on my first day. Managers are available every day, but they are also visible on the shop floor. The pay is average, neither low nor high. You can get a raise once a year. In my opinion, it is a friendly place if the balance between work and family is important to you.

You are worked into the ground by managers who will throw you to the dogs or bully you out of your job if you voice an opinion on how the place is run. Never seen so much work place bullying in my life. A few nice people here and there but everyone in any position of power even as low as line leaders will immediately turn into a sociopath. Avoid at all costs 

Working here day in and day out can become repetitive but the work is clean and can be fun, some lines can be fast paced. Most people are friendly however there are definitely clicks within some groups. Also found it can be one rule for one and another rule for another. Pay is basically minimum wage which could be improved! Overall a good place to work.
