I worked in the field service department and found that my role and responsibilities changed frequently, often without clarity or consistency. Job descriptions did not reflect the day-to-day expectations, and I was regularly asked to take on tasks outside of my role.

I was expected to train new staff while also covering the workload of two administrative roles at the same time. During recruitment periods, I was required to screen CVs, organise interviews, and lead interview panels, despite this not being part of my job and with limited HR involvement.

Workloads were often unmanageable, and support from management and HR was inconsistent. Processes were unclear, and important administrative matters, such as holiday calculations and final pay, required close monitoring to ensure accuracy. In my case, I had to escalate concerns to senior leadership in order to receive what I was owed.

Only certain employees were offered exit interviews, which contributed to a feeling of unfairness and lack of transparency. Overall, communication between departments was poor, and accountability was often unclear.

During my time there, recruitment practices within the department felt inconsistent and concerning. Hiring decisions did not appear to be based solely on experience or suitability for the role, and comments were made during recruitment discussions that focused on candidates’ age or assumptions about their future plans.

Enjoyed working there, I got some good training and progression. The team was generally supportive and there was a lot of inter department working and opportunities.

cant keep staff, and has big problems. constant redundancies, broken supply chain. cant deliver a single contract on time. good staff memebers though.

Good Company to work for - progressive with a good future orderbook.  Culture in Company is very good. No issues with the role, had to move for personal reasons
