I have learnt so much through this experience. I have learned how to be more efficient in my organisation. I have learnt how to assist others that might have difficulties or barriers to their learning. I would often arrive at work at 7.30am and talk with the staff members that I would be working with. Communication was crucial as I went from being a Learning support Assistant to English Teacher (both as a placement) I was expected to communicate and liaise with parents, teachers and students. The hardest part of the job for me was behaviour management, I have struggled with showing students that they have done something against my expectations. Throughout my year on the course I have discovered that I can be strict but fair and whilst it is still an ongoing target I have thoroughly enjoyed working on improving myself.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The students, the sense of belonging in the community

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It’s non-stop, especially being out on home visits, barely being in the office

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s bearable to an extent, as long as ‘the face fits’ you’re likely to get to places, question things and how things are done is likely to put a ‘x’ against your back

I have learned so much working at Trinity. I have been given a lot of support and feel like I now have a real career pathway. I always wanted to work in education but thought that would mean having to train as a teacher or work as a TA, but my eyes have been opened to different roles I could do. I have really enjoyed my time .

Trinity Academy Halifax educates thoroughly and successfully opens doors for the students who attend the school, I personally loved it at Trinity Academy Halifax and would highly recommend someone into attending the school/

Having a good work life balance was encouraged by management 
Hours can be really long (8.10-3.30)
Students can be tricky but a lot of support from pastoral team 
Management seem like they actually care about you 

Not a good support network.  Would highly not recommend working here. Only if you’re in with the popular staff. Stay away from this culture. Never again.
