I worked at u value as a sales rep in ireland. My job was to sell to the end user contractor on site. Unless you are based in Dublin or surrounds this job is a waste of time. Deliveries were unreliable, product range is very small and price is very similar to local merchants in these areas.

There was no sales strategy just opportunistic sales and scatter gun approach. They say you will be the rep for a particular area and it turns out that that most local builders accounts will be on someone else's ledger even though sales to these accounts are minimal 90% of the time. They also sell to merchants all around the country which causes more headaches if you are trying to sell to the end user.

Once I started within the first 5 weeks 4-5 people left which was a huge red flag to me.

On a more positive note people were nice for the most part and the wages weren't horrific. I wouldn't recommend moving there unless very desperate or dublin based. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Being lucky enough to finish on time. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They demand so much from you and give you little or no help at all and expected you to work well beyond your hours and you don’t even get a thank you. Yet mangers come and go as they please. Except to fight for your wages! 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Non existent! You’re expected to work past your hours every day! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You start early, most the time you have to message someone as your phone hasn’t been updated, then whenever you ring the office for help. You get told ring the customer and hang up on you.

Not organised managment and changing constantly in warehouse, the managment employing not speaking English forklift drivers where this affects the flow and consistency of all procedures from accepting delivery, picking the product and loading it on the trucks ready for delivery.

The people are great and everyone gets along. Sometimes people sweat the small things but we don't go to work to hate what we do. I enjoy my work and the people I work with. 

Could do alot worse than reasonable pay, casual Fridays and good banter with your colleagues. 


I loved working for U Value and got on with everyone there.

I only left to gain more experience and to progress my career.
