You start off on Monday @10 at the depot. Have ur meeting. Ur 1 st job would start at about midday but it would be 200 miles away. So u were always behind and could never catch. If u were working nights u would get to ur hotel early hours 2am/5am but would have to be out at 10am to then wait around till 5-7pm to start ur next job. You wouldn’t get home till early hours Saturday morning so then ur Saturday was ruined to only have Sunday off to repeat the same process the next week. Also driving to end of the country to then come to north to then have ur next job other side of the country. Far play u get paid for hour driving n that’s what makes ur wages up. Management were only interested in getting the job done. Time scales on jobs or the job wasn’t looked at so u would be there longer or u couldn’t get in because the kitchen staff were still cooking then that would set u back but still had ur jobs that were booked in to finish n complete. Good points were u got picked or dropped off or u had van to take home. I dare say if the job runs were a planned right via location to save driving hours and care home were contacted new u we’re comming would be a great job and to have u home on the Friday to have a family balanced life the job would be great. I hope thing have changed since I left to give people a great working job and balance on time off. 

I have worked here for 8 years and it has been a fantastic environment to work in. The team is like a family and always happy to help each other. The work is fast paced and plentiful no worries about hours getting cut and lack of work. Great pay scale and team members can earn FANTASTIC money if they are ready to work hard!

Company benefits are also really good, nights out throughout the year, paintball, go karting as well as being invited to football games in the company executive box! The Christmas parties are also something we all look forward to and they are excellent! We even get a bacon sandwich and nice hot coffee on a Monday morning to get us going!

I would recommend UK Commercial Group  to anyone any hard working individual who wants to earn great money and join a friendly team!

a typical day at work,
Get up on the road for 6am get to you first job  that could be 2.30h drive setup and take before picture clean then do all top floors with reach and wash. Put your gear away get out mop and blade clean bottom floor. Put you gear away take picture of after job. Drive to next job possible 45min drive rinse and repeat for your 5/6 jobs per day 

The job pay is ok for a widow cleaner just above minimum wage BUT the bonus tops up your wage.  Be prepared to lose that money because they take it off you if you get a complaint and all they clean is care homes. (And they mon about everything) 

some site are massive and should be done by two man yet your told the round have designed to do them on your own. 


Worked extremely hard here for over eight years long hours and hard graft which was achievable 
Only one operative for Scotland doing between five to eight care homes per shift,when there was at one time two vans servicing over the border on less contracts
Used to be respected with my views with regards to work schedule,but as the company grew over the years with me constantly giving my all I was let down most of the time,being let down constantly with holiday requests and other issues

Very very high turnover of staff. No work life balance the hours you are expected and have to work are ridiculous and dangerous. They say 8 to 12 hour shifts try 8 to 18 or 20 hours a day.  Overtime on some weekends is expected rather than optional. Some of the digs were disgusting depending what manager you had looking after you. Very stressful job at times due to poor logistics. Constant emails and texts regardless if you’ve just done a nightshift. Would be a good rewarding job if the workload wasn’t as heavy, amount of hours, or the stress of loosing money. You won’t last 6 months never mind a year. 

All work is sorted at the start of the week and a clear plan is laid out. The people who work here are very supportive and are always a phone call away if you need help at anytime of the day.
I have always enjoyed travelling and get the chance to do this in my role. The best part of the job is having a hard job on the go but seeing it once complete feels very satisfying.

No two days are the same at UK Commercial Group. It’s a very rewarding company with some great company benefits, like private medical insurance from your whole family. 

The environment is incredible friendly, especially on Monday mornings when the entire workforce is on site. The operatives all get on with each other and help each other out with any training issues.

As of yet no stress working with UK commercial. Very welcoming and things made easy for you.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Environment is very friendly. Everyone is very welcoming. My manager Graham has been very helpful in getting me up to speed.

It was a smooth interview process that felt very relaxed which eased any pressure on my shoulders, I was offered the role the same night of the interview so it was a quick turnaround.
They wanted me to start the following Monday but i had a prior engagement that they accommodated for letting me start the following week.
Induction process is very relaxed, a general chat with whats to come with a few training pieces to complete.

I've only been with the company for a couple of days, however so far everything has been great!

- Everyone is really friendly and approachable.
- Office is close to public transport and easy to get to.
- Work is fast paced (which may not be for everyone but I thrive in an environment like this).
