I recommend researching the company 
and department if you get contacted by a recruiter to interview for Unilabs. Recruiters only care about their commission not if the role is right for you and will not be honest about why the role came to be or what happened to the previous person who filled it. 

This place has a high turnover and there is a reason for that. Staff are treated badly and paid abysmally, they are not valued and are expendable either to take the blame for poor management performance and badly implemented processes that are never clearly outlined. 

The only ones with "security" are the managers and department heads, regular employees don't even get paid bonuses (which they are supposed to at  Christmas) let alone other supposed employee benefits.

The culture is very toxic and anti-employee morale, which is a shame because in the labs there are some really great people who seemed to be wasted working at Unilabs - that only cares about short terms gains. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Friendly group of people. Also the pay was balanced for the work done. Flexible working hours. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Badly organised, not very well ventilated. No time for training or learning in the lab.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
No time for meeting, good mix group of people,  very focused on getting the work out of the lab.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working under intense pressure to head the target to finish the work.

Good opportunity to learn various lab jobs and gain experience and you work with some great colleagues, however the management has always been prone to favouritism and finger pointing, which makes the work atmosphere horrible. Ops. Dir is a two faced man, judging ppl by his own standards and the blame culture is very much present.

Employees are not valued here, it was very restrictive (communication is not allowed) and lacks any humane support or care as making money was the top and ONLY priority. Nepotism was extremely prevalent and made for a toxic environment. Not a nice place to work at all. You would expect more decorum from a private company but instead it went against all the values it supposedly stands for. 



Amazing MLA manager and nice supportive environment, lots of training in a variety of areas. The most difficult part of the job would be remembering all the bits of little information there is. The most enjoyable is the people and the variety of jobs.
