There was no typical day at work as this extremely fast-paced working environment required us to start new country risk reports every couple of days. In any given day I could be asked to assess political risk, human rights and labour rights conditions and determine the implications for particular clients interested in investing abroad. 
I've learned how important it is to write clearly and briefly so that clients can get as much information in the littlest time. 
The hardest part of the job was dealing with tight deadlines and the extremely high standards they set for all writers. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was working in teams effectively to create the reports. 

Pros:
The company comes with some unusual benefits like finishing 2 hours early every Friday in Summer and the annual ice cream machine. Plus all year round daily free fruit, tea and squash, drinks Thursday etc. Plus everyone is nice and there is a willingness to invest in further study should you want to pursue anything related to your work.

Cons:
-I feel like there could be better introductory training to understand the tools they use
-More team resource would be good too

The people working there were great.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The training was atrocious and I was just thrown into working claims when I had no idea what I was doing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s just fine. Not amazing. People are nice.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Go in, work claims, lunch, work claims, go home.

I found the training to be lacking and support is rare when you need it. It’s a very abrupt experience being thrown into claims handling straight off the bat. The people are great, and it is a truly welcoming environment with some great benefits but overall I think knowing and feeling confident in your job role has to come out on top and unfortunately that is not the case.

Absolute joke of a company. Went for an interview, previous experience at an advance level for the role, interview was nice - basic questions, data extraction test etc. 

Took them two weeks to tell me that the reason they wouldn’t hire me is because - ‘your shirt was Unironed’

Despite the fact the people on the office were dressed casually and looked awful. 

I was there nearly 3 years and never felt my work was ever appreciated and I was never praised. The targets we were given each day were so unreasonable. Management never really wanted to help or understand what you wanted to talk to them about. Just got fobbed off to another person in the team. 

Sufficient training provided to ensure you are able to do your job. Great people and always on hand to assist with any queries. Did sometimes feel like a boys club - more likely to get promoted if in with the crowd but overall was a good place fo work and you were treated like an individual and not a number 

Working hours are respected, most people leave the office or finish by 6. Staff aren't expected to work overtime. Everyone is extremely friendly and supportive. 

The salary is much lower than other consultancies. 

Manager gave us a lot for room to grow, which is rare to see in a firm. They also paid for courses, so everyone picked up R and had a very thorough QC process. Very Good Learning environment.

A group of people that genuinely care. Work is not as challenging but you can spend years in the company as you get work-life balance right.  management is very supportive and there is a strong desire for everyone to succed...this is rare
