A typical day as a fleet specialist on night shift is arriving at 10pm. Liaising with other team members about which vans are available, choosing your van and completing vehicle checks. Helping other team members load their vans and getting ready to head out for the night.

The night involves performing battery swaps around your agreed location of work on the map in the city you work in for the night, quality checks, reparking fallen over scooters and moving scooters from low demand areas to high demand areas.

The job is physically demanding depending on how busy it is during that specific night.

The team all pull together and work with each other, often helping each other out a lot. The training once you join the company is first class with health and safety and other courses to complete via an app on your phone to ensure you know how to do your job safely, handle batteries and scooters safely.

Management consists of a team leader for your shift, and a warehouse manager/depot manager. 

Team leaders are excellent at supporting you and helping every team member out.

The salary is paid handsomely for the role you do (night shift is on a excellent starting salary) with performance based increases not guaranteed but available to discuss as your time in the business grows.

Based on a 37.5 hour week. In comparison to other warehouse/driving roles the pay is above average, in some cases it is almost £5 more than the average warehouse role per hour!


Redundancies on the regular, every year a multitude of staff redundancies happen. 
No progression, nepotism is the only word I can describe in relation to progression. 
Poor management from the shop floor and above, my manager had no experience in man management and also lied daily to staff and customers
No team work
Big turn over of... I've witnessed 50 people come and go within 4 years of employment. 
Production belt
 health & Safety needs real attention 
Weekend and bank holiday is required

For the role of fleet specialist at Voi you will get provided with a clean electric van to undertake your job. The targets are very easy to reach and you work in a very supporting team.

You will benefit from free scooter rides even outside work hours as well as other incentives and benefits .

The wage is above average for the role and reviewed every year.

Focus to achieve the best rate you can get over the day work period
Taking vehicles into the van, could be a challenge because of the weight they  carried 
Once on the road you are your own boss
Have to be able manage and organise yourself 

They will run you into the ground then replace you, no injury policy exists until you get injured, you then have to use your holidays, bad management who get paid for being off. Snakes all over the place avoid 

A 1 great bunch of people round the clock operation  
Working out doors in all weather come rain or shine  
Relax atomosphere  great 
Would recommend to any one who loves working independently and as a ream members 

Not the best job I've ever had but not the worst job either, can be stressful and repetitive at times but i guess most jobs are like that, overall ok job.

Lovely company to work for, was unfortunate for them to loose tender with birmingham City Council. Will go back if they ever come back enjoyed every bit.

Good company to work for, limited opportunities for career advancement as staff who work here tend to stay. Work is a bit repetitive but it's like that in most places
