I had a great time working here, I really appreciated that breaks would be put in the schedule, and then management would make sure that they could happen. Management are not afraid to get their hands dirty and make sure that every part of the restaurant has what it needs to operating the way it should be.  If we were overly busy, then managers were not afraid to just stop taking walk ins, or to turn off deliveroo. 
I found that I was able to make really good money just working part time here - the way the service charge is divided makes more sense than in other restaurants, and makes a big difference to the wages. Servers get a bigger portion of the TRONC from their own tables, and this is motivating to work in busier sections, to take more tables, to upsell etc. It was rewarding. 

Working for Wahaca was, overall, a very positive experience. The company itself has great values, good policies, and genuinely provides a strong foundation for both staff and customers. The team is fantastic, and there are many aspects of the workplace that make it enjoyable and rewarding.

The main issue lies with the management in Edinburgh. Unfortunately, the managers are not always effective in their roles, and the General Manager, who ultimately sets the tone for the workplace, can come across as lacking empathy and understanding towards staff. This can sometimes make the working environment more challenging than it needs to be.

That said, the company itself is excellent, and the team is wonderful. If management improved, it would be an outstanding place to work.

Preparing the bar for opening, during the day serving coctails and snacks. Keeping the bar area clean. 
I have learned how to manage stresfull, fast paste situations and how to work from my own perspetive rather than keep asking for a job to do. 
The management was nive, however did not take much interest in good work environment. 
Co-workers were the reason I have stayed in the job for longer time, great communications at work are important. 
I did not find the job hard, delivery was harders as I had to carry heavy bottles, however not a big deal. 
The most enjoyable part of jobn was when restaurant would get busty and we had many orders, making mexican Style drinks and customer services was my favourite part of this job.

Depending on the shift, the focus is more on getting ready for the rush hours (so need to organize the kitchen and prepare the food) or in serving the customers on those busy moments (where stress management is as important as speed and accuracy).
This job develops several skills, as time management, to prioritize, or to keep appropriate quality standards as food is served quickly.
The management team is always professional, and at the same time  friendly with the staff, creating a nice work environment. Another exciting part of the job is knowing people from many countries and cultures.

This is a really good place to start on the hospitality business. Yo can get many different roles to work there at the Front of the House Department (waiter, bartender, host, etc.)

Is a good place to start if you don't speak very fluent English and also to learn about Mexican culture and food.

Is always a challenging place and a work environment in continuous change. Management Team is not really organized and sometimes looks like going against some of the people.

Is a really good option to work part time and do some money, but also you need to work hard every single minute.

- On a normal day, the customer's food orders were taken care of, from the preparation line, with all the things that included.
- I learned, a new wonderful menu, based in the properly mexican food, and i improve me english in this place
- The administration of this restaurant is very well managed by a great team of work.
- They have a culture of teamwork, and continuos learning.
- The most difficult part of the job is when is really busy and we have to work in a small place, but nothing important ;)  
- the most pleasant part of the job is the recognition by the customer, and the team environment

Wahaca on the surface is a great place to work, it is enticing and plenty of the people there are a pleasure to work with but unfortunately the senior Management team responsible for the growth of the business are over promoted and incapable of doing their own job, let alone managing the teams below them. They expect much from you but do not return or recognise hard work or professionalism, they hide their inadequacies any way they can at the expense of everyone else.I would not recommend working here.

Worst experience of work in years !! I regret of joining this Wahaca site, negative vibes alaround you,  try to give stress from all levels, 
Management is not helpful from anyway instead try to demoralise and dominate,
No helpful attitude, worst attitude seen for a business like Wahaca,
Communication difficulties with team members as some of staff don’t understand English, 
Management on site level is unprofessional and try to pull you down.

A rubbish place for working, managers are not educated enough, jobs inside the restaurant are not organised and planned well. 
No one respects, everyone, doing their own businesses and for example, a guy came from Italy  and our manager likes him and she gave him an opportunity to become a supervisor in two weeks time, and we had someone who was there for three years and he was so angry because they never helped him to get one level up at work. 
all managers are jocker.
