Been working for WHR for a few years now and its hard work. If it was an easy ride then everyone would do it. However, if you like being in control of your future, want the potential to earn lots of money and have the patience and resilience to work for it, you should do well. 

Like every company, WHR has its down points, we have a limited amount of parking and don’t offer any home working or flexi-time and there isn’t any sick pay. That being said, they do offer career progression, uncapped commission, numerous incentives and our annual leave allowance is very competitive. Without a doubt, the entry-level base salary is low and the first year is tough. If you can see past that, and look at the bigger picture then it will work. 

Regardless of team or division, there is a degree of freedom and the potential to be the best you can be.  Management are supportive, we have an excellent training programme and a diverse work force. Our new offices highlight our success in the market place and because of this we have been able to expand into new markets and create new teams. With a new office abroad and two more coming up, there is so much potential for people who are willing to work for it. 

Unlike many recruitment companies, there is a genuine team effort approach to the way we do business. We aren’t treated like children and we have a lot of freedom. Throughout the office, we have screens with KPIs which we’re measured against. However, they aren’t thrown in our face and we’re trusted to work hard. 

For long-serving members of staff there is extra annual leave, a better employer pension contribution & health insurance.

Basic salary isn't as high as you'd expect given the core hours you work. The commission is a bonus however during training and interview process they sugarcoat it and hype it up.

The management I had was poor, lack of compassion and general care for you as a person and employee, you're just another worker in the office making them and yourself some money.

It's a very pretentious office so if you can work alongside these kinds of people who are particular about who they welcome then it's the place for you. 

There is a 'party' culture within the establishment which was great IF you make friends there.

All in all, if you wish to pursue a career in recruitment it's not bad to gain training and experience, I just hope the management is better now than it was during my time with this company.

Management is very poor they treat certain individuals like royalty, while others get treated like dirt. Those who get treated like royalty get away with pretty much anything. Certain managers in the business have very poor management and people skills, don't help or support you unless you are one of the royal bunch. What's good for certain employees is completely wrong for the next. There is a really unhealthy office environment which consists of sexism and racism. As others have stated the company only gets rewarded all of its rewards due to the fact employees are given incentives to give WHR a good review. Those in the royal crowd have career paths set up in their favour, those not in this crowd won't go anywhere. If you are in the royal crowd having a bad few months that's fine nothing will happen to you. If you are not part of this crowd you will watch and scrutinised heavily.

Like many companies, they have their goals and previous achievements. However with Whitehall it seems their goals and achievements are constantly changing in a positive way. Year on year growth enables the employees to enjoy regular business meetings/trips, regular parties/social events, incentives such as the company vehicles and also not to mention the company villa in Portugal. 

Having worked in a few Sales type organisations, I can say Whitehall Resources was one of the best. Purely on the basis, the employer will go as far as they can to ensure success and happiness. 

I left Whitehall due to a family situation, however if that had not of occurred I really could have seen myself remain there until I was asked to leave... it was that good!

Have been here about two years and really enjoy it. I'm not in one of the recruitment teams but enjoy all the benefits of working in recruitment - regular (paid for) nights out, rewards if you're the stand out employee (weekends away etc), summer/xmas parties and loads more. 

On top of that the culture is really good here - quite lively in the office, never a quiet day. We work in a brand new building that is completely different to anywhere else I've ever worked (see pictures on the website). There's no work done outside office hours and you can choose your career path if you work at it. 

Managers and Directors are all really approachable, people in all teams happy to help out when required.

I genuinely enjoy being part of the Whitehall team. The culture here is welcoming and collaborative, it’s clear that people’s ideas and contributions are valued. Leadership is supportive and approachable, making it easy to feel encouraged and empowered in your role.

I also appreciate the work-life balance, it’s refreshing to work somewhere that understands life outside of work matters too. On top of that, there are plenty of growth opportunities, so you can keep learning and advancing while feeling supported along the way.

Whitehall Resources is a great place to work and has offered me everything I was looking for in a career - progression/development opportunity, excellent commission on offer and fantastic incentives too. 
It's a fun work environment and like no other - its a culture where you get out what you put in though. If you work hard, you do get rewarded for it!

Minimum wage with the possibility of earning commission from about a year into the role. Really high turn over of staff! Good training. For the money the role is high pressured. You must get a min of 5 “leads” per day, 2 hours on the phones and 50 client calls which is a struggle. The role includes a lot of lying to candidates to get information which I have heard it the norm in this industry but seems strange when they have honestly in they tag line

the office offers a friendly and warm environment in which you feel comfortable to work in. i had no experience or training when entering into the work and was given sufficient training to carry out the tasks i was given. as i was only there for a short amount of time on work experience it was hard to grasp a wider understanding of the workings of the compay, however, never did i once feel out of place or less important than any other employee there.

The fact that Whitehall Resources grew so quickly whilst gaining so many blue chip companies speaks volumes. They understood early on that it is all about building and maintaining relationships, tied in with becoming experts in a specific market place. And then delivering what they promise, which they continue to do on a consistent basis. I for example had a 100% client retention rate and twice the average placement rate...
