I worked for FIX360, YHG's subsidiary group and it was agony. I worked for the commercial team and I was not trained, motivated or given a chance to do anything as the management was non existent or refused to even enter the office due to numerous holidays in florida, yeah.. your manager was always in the states sunning it up. I was inbetween work after redundancy and needed a solid job, they offered me a good wage which was less than my last but I took it based on promises made and the way they explained growth and expansion.. all a HUGE lie, no progression, companies bombing and its going downhill fast.

My team leader was abysmal, she had no personal skills, lied, abused our team and bullied me over a medical condition and all the while had no idea how to talk to staff and or subcontractors which cost me and the company income and business partners.. it was horrendous and I would beg anyone to reconsider any application to this company.

The office is a tiny repurposed school building in a dive of an area, theres no parking, computers and systems are temperamental and you cannot work from home due to the fact they refuse to allow it. They claim to be moving to a new office but with how bad their books are it wont be happening, they are hiring new staff constantly but aren't using what they hire so expect redundancy to be an issue for you if you join.

Workplace culture is non existent, your "bosses" will screw you over to look good, managers and team leaders dont help nor chase things, training doesn't happen, improvements ignored, concerns and bullying ignored.

I was given the busiest workload and struggled with it due to the absolute and harrowing lack of support from my team leader, subcontractors not replied to, emails deleted and never sent.. When you need the company to help they ignore you like when I was released and not given a reason, albeit told I was being released on a friday when they knew I had personal things to deal with, told to come in on monday.. work 2 hours past an agreed appointment then released with half pay and not even paid for the work I did over what was asked.. but add in they did this AFTER I had a week off agreed to have a medical operation done, lovely people.

Never have I EVER been subject to the misery of a place like this, when you develop psoriasis and suffer panic attacks due to work you know people should not be working here, add in the only way to get to the office is over warburton bridge so enjoy your 2 hour commutes

I  worked for this company for a few years and tried to remain positive that things would improve. I put the lack of competent management, poor living conditions for the residents, non existent training, inconsistency on what your job role actually entails or what rules apply within the schemes in relation to service users, incompetent staff who have absolutely no concept of confidentiality or professional boundaries, poor pay in regard to the amount of work you are expected to do and the level of responsibility, lack of team work, staff continually talking about each other or talking with each other about service users, absolutely draining, unhealthy atmosphere within the schemes, lack of safeguarding service users or staff, down to the aftermath of COVID, however, all of the above have become progressively worse, which has resulted in not only a toxic environment to work in, but an unbearable environment for vulnerable service users to live in. Furthermore, the amount these individuals are paying for this service, they should be living in more habitable conditions, and the staff should be paid a wage which reflects their work, expected skills, and above all else, responsibility. Disgrace of a company whose only concern is exploiting vulnerable service users out of money without actually providing an adequate service, and exploiting lower ranking, front line staff members by working them into the ground, providing no suitable management or training, and paying them a pittance of a wage in the process.

I was hired to help the big backlog that was created by the companies re-structure. I was constantly looked down upon by other members of the team due to my age and inexperience in the field, despite doing all that was asked of myself and taking on more responsibilities than initially planned. I was not given the same equipment as those who worked full-time, despite doing the same job and using the same systems, making my work process slower less enjoyable. Every person on the team had one/two specific jobs to do and that was all, so work was monotonous and resulting in myself praying for something to go wrong to add interest to my day. The team also had a negative outlook on everything the company did, making it very difficult for myself being new, to find any reason to like the systems or the workplace. I was completely excluded by the team from conversation or lunch breaks, something I hope changes for the next person in my role.

Overall the experience was poor, but not so bad I would have said no to the role, At just under £10 an hour, with no one asking me to take work home or put in extra effort, it was relaxed but not fun.

My experience working for this organisation was defined by a consistently toxic culture that undermined both staff wellbeing and performance. Communication was poor, feedback was often dismissive, and leadership rarely demonstrated transparency or accountability. Decision-making felt top-down, with little opportunity for employees to contribute meaningfully or influence the direction of their work. Favoritism was common, and those who questioned processes or raised concerns were sometimes isolated rather than supported. Workloads were high, expectations unclear, and recognition was minimal unless you aligned with certain individuals. Despite talented and passionate colleagues, morale was low, and burnout seemed widespread. The focus appeared more on maintaining control than fostering innovation, collaboration, or growth. With genuine cultural change, this could be a strong workplace, but at present, the environment feels draining rather than motivating.

Previous reviews mention a bullying culture, sadly despite this being addressed by the directors it is still happening.

Passive aggressiveness by senior managers to shift blame from themselves is rife.
Whilst they have gone through a restructuring it was clear that certain senior managers had neither the skill or experience to perform their roles.

Appreciate that this would sound like the review of a disgruntled ex employee.

However whilst I was there an external consultant was brought in for advice. The advice that consultant gave was that certain senior managers were actually breaking EU law in the way they put their documents together. Far from being addressed this was swept under the table.

Not a stable place to work and tbh for a public sector organisation providing social housing there are too many people working there for the sole purpose of enriching themselves rather than the people they purport to serve.

Worked for the company for 22 years and they were excellent to work for until they merged with a Liverpool Housing Association.

Once merged the best (most knowledgeable) staff were released to the detriment of the company.  Most of the medium management team left for other jobs leaving a structure where people were working beyond their skill set.

Took a good redundancy package despite there being positions (at a much lower salary) still available.  Brought in a new manage, who had very limited understanding of any of the work being carried out, simply butcher the section and save money. 

Many over paid consultants were brought in to do poor work which we then had to correct.

When I began working for. This company they assured me I would have opportunities to climb the ladder and progress in my career path, this however was not the case.
I worked here for 10 years and left as I was still doing the same job as when I started
Managers give jobs and pay increases to other staff who are friends with them rather than individuals who are qualified for the roles available
Managers also pass their own workloads to staff below them to complete andany employees are under massive stress
Pay is also disgraceful for what staff do
Compared to work some get paid
I could go on all day but I won't waste my time as they don't deserve it, absolute joke of a company, avoid like the plague


Worked here now for around 11 months now. Company is good and management really supportive. Trusted to manage own workload which is how its supposed to be. Only issues are unfair pair and annual leave. One department works as hard as another but gets around £4k lower in salary and they can't justify why so a few colleagues are actively looking for better paid companies with the same job description. Regarding annual leave they state you get so many days which sounds great until you find out that includes bank holidays. Never come across that before. Need to be more clear during advertising jobs!

Poor initial training, lack of support from management

Very poor, very much a blame culture and a lack of guidance or support from management even when issues are down to their bad training

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Nothing, I left there nearly 3 years ago due to reasons already given

A typical day for me was reading lots of emails from doctors and 

key personal that work at the Chester Hospital.

I would then put the emails in order of priority .

My priority every day was to get all jobs listed done that that day including emergency work that comes in through the day, that would include burst pipes blocked toilets repairs to hot water systems.  

I was more than capable doing paint work to replacing hot water electronic timers.

I Worked along side the housing officer we were classed as lone workers our main boss worked in York at another Hospital sight.

I loved every part of the job
