The rebrand is nothing more than window dressing, beneath it sits the same deeply flawed organisation. Leadership is ineffective and evasive, consistently dodging accountability while quietly burying problems instead of fixing them. There’s a clear lack of integrity at the top, with decisions driven more by self preservation than competence or fairness.
Support from management is practically nonexistent, and when things go wrong, blame is redirected without hesitation, often onto those with the least power to defend themselves. It creates a culture where trust is impossible and professionalism feels like an afterthought.

Working as a Recruiter at Brothers of Charity has been an extremely rewarding experience. The role has allowed me to develop strong organisational, communication and people skills while supporting services that genuinely make a difference to individuals and communities.

The organisation has a strong values-led culture, and I always felt supported in my development. The work environment encouraged professionalism, teamwork and compassion, which made the role fulfilling.

My time at Brothers of Charity strengthened my confidence, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to such a meaningful organisation.

Working for Best Lives has been such a positive experience. When I first joined, I had a great induction and was given a warm welcome from the beginning. My colleagues are super friendly and the free on-site parking is a bonus.

The organisation is genuinely person-centred and focused on delivering high-quality care that supports people to live with dignity and independence which is lovely to see.

My manager is very supportive, approachable and there's a strong focus on teamwork and development. Overall it's a very respectful, well-led service where I feel both the staff and the people we support are valued.

Since starting at Best Lives I have only ever had positive experiences. The managers are extremely supportive and everyday provide the opportunity to learn and grow. The team I work within are brilliant and focused on providing the best service possible.

Whilst working as office staff, there are still numerous opportunities to be involved with the heart of the organisation, the service users, through various events and activities held all year round. 



Training is great, making sure you have appropriate training for your specific house.
Colleague relations are strong and you do create friendships.
Care plans and files are regularly reviewed and updated.
Having on Call is great especially when in a position where the LSW is unavailable and you can contact them day or night.

I have been working for best lives for nearly a year, and honestly have to say it’s the best job I have had, in all my 24 years of working in care . Every day is different and I actually look forward to coming to work! The support I get off my manager and lead support worker is 100% . Can not fault it one bit .  People I support I absolutely adore, my work colleagues are amazing and really work as a fantastic team! 

I really enjoy working for the company and feel like it's heading in a positive direction since we've had some great changes.

The service users make you smile each and everyday and it helps having supportive colleagues around you.



The company values hard work and recognises contributions, which makes it motivating to come in every day. There are clear expectations, opportunities to learn new skills, and room for professional growth.

Overall, this is a great place to work if you’re looking for a supportive culture, strong teamwork, and a company that values its people.

Lack of accountability from senior management and denial of serious issues and wrongful practices . Poor quality digital systems. Support staff expected to deal with issues that should be well out of their pay grade. 

Working at Best Lives is enjoyable. As office staff, I have a good work-life balance. The company supports learning and development, offers opportunities to grow, and shows appreciation for its employees.
