I have been with the company for around 3 years. I have enjoyed my time with Agincare Medway. 
Their is lots of training that you can undertake to help you with progression in your career.
I love meeting new service users and the staff are lovely at our branch. I meet many different service users from different cultures and backgrounds. We deal with lots of service users, with many different medical conditions, from epilepsy to dementia, heart issues to diabetes etc. Some service users just require a respite carer to give their main carer a break and other service users require extra help with things like meal preparation and personal care. You hear many different stories, all from different era's. 
As part of my job role, I visit the new service users and I write person centred care plans for our carers to follow, and this gives them the information they require to perform the duties and tasks necessary. I also undertake spot checks, supervisions and informal coaching's to make sure our staff members are working to their full potential and following company policies and procedures. Also to make sure they have the support, training and help they may require. I am very approachable and always make sure that the staff know I am their if they need me for anything. 
The care profession can be tough but also very rewarding. It gives you a sense of pride and satisfaction. 
We have had some ups and downs in my time here so far, but we always seem to get through it. 
We were without a manager for a long time but our deputy manager did a great job during this period and deserves a lot of praise. She believed in me and gave me the opportunity to progress my career further with the company. She gives me lots of support and she is very approachable and helpful as are the other office staff members. 
It can be hard to switch off at the end of the day and sometimes you take your work home. It sometimes feels like we never stop working and just lately I seem to have less family time. 
I feel the salary / wages could be better and sometimes that we are under appreciated by the higher management from head office, for all our hard work and extra effort that we put in on a day to day basis.
I really enjoy working within the care industry and stepping into the Medway Branch for the very first time was the best thing I ever did. I don't think I could work in any other industry now and have the same passion for working as I do today.

I had the pleasure of working as a care assistant for this care home and I can say with confidence that it is one of the best places I've ever worked. One of the standout features of this care home is the staff pay, which is a clear sign that the management values its employees and recognizes their hard work.
Speaking of management, I cannot say enough good things about them. They are attentive, communicative, and always strive to make the working environment as conducive as possible for staff. This makes for a happy and motivated team of care assistants who are all committed to providing the best possible care for the residents who are they are the heart and soul of this care home. They are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion at all times. I am proud to have been a part of a team that genuinely cares about the wellbeing of its residents. One of the things that stood out to me the most during my time as a care assistant at this care home was the incredibly friendly and supportive team. From day one, I felt welcomed and supported by my colleagues, who were always willing to lend a helping hand or provide guidance when needed.
The team was made up of a diverse group of individuals, each with their own unique skills and experiences to bring to the table. Despite this, everyone worked together seamlessly to ensure that the residents received the highest standard of care possible.
In addition to being highly skilled and professional, the team was also incredibly friendly and approachable. This created a warm and welcoming atmosphere within the care home, which I believe contributed greatly to the happiness and wellbeing of both residents and staff alike. Overall, I would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for a rewarding career in the care sector. With great management, fair pay, and a focus on providing the best possible care for residents, this is truly a standout employer in the industry. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been part of such a supportive and friendly team during my time at this care home. It is clear that the management places a strong emphasis on creating a positive work culture, which is reflected in the attitudes and actions of the entire team.

Everyday is different, although you generally have your regular clients that you see on a day to day basis. You never really know what you could walk into, which to some might seem a bit daunting but it keeps you on your toes and what i enjoy is a challenge. I have learnt a lot from all the training available within Agincare but also from experienced cares within the company, everyone has been very welcoming and could not be more supportive. I find that the office staff are such hard workers and really try to make our lives a bit easier with perfecting a good rota, changing any calls that we are unable to do or allowing us to change our availability to suit our home lives. I have completed lots of online courses as well as the more hands on training before the Covid outbreak. There are always lots of ways to develop and further knowledge and if your willing to commit the chance to complete your apprenticeship/ diploma in adult health care. I have always received so much support from everyone within the office and my fellow Agincare carers, some of which are really great friends now. The hardest part about the job will always be saying goodbye to clients. You really build up friendships with the people you care for. The hours can be long but its always very rewarding, as its the little things that keep you going. And finally what i enjoy most about working for Agincare are all of the opportunities that i have been given for training, the company has given me the confidence to work towards completing my goals.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The constant changes in what the company are looking for and not properly explaining their processes to an employee. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A very toxic workplace with a lot of office cliques and people constantly trying to sabotage others. I was bullied horrendously when I worked there and I would often come home in tears each day. The management team like the employees to wear a smart suit and often make fun of people who don't have immaculate clothing.

The office I worked in had no windows inside and there is a WW2 centre next door. The fumes of the diesel would come up into the air vents causing people to cough and feel light headed. I ended up getting pneumonia when I was there and I took a few days off from work. When I came back into the office I was greeted with a warning straight away for taking time off for being sick. Their health policy is extremely poor. 

Due to the health policy people come into work with serious illnesses and pass it onto other people. A very unhealthy working environment and management is aware of how serious this is, but choose to ignore it. Very dangerous! 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would often come in and sit down at my desk. Start doing some screening calls and updating our live tracker of all of our candidates. We would interview and then hire the candidates and keep track of everything on a spreadsheet and on our Outlook calendar. We would also book the candidates in for training as well. Towards the end of my employment I would also help the candidates with the onboarding process as our recruitment co-ordinator quit. 

Around 1/2pm in the afternoon we would have a pungent smell from next doors WW2 Centre which caused lightheadedness and dizziness which made it hard to focus throughout the day.

Typical day as a live in care assistant depends on a client I look after. It can vary on a daily basis and each day it is different from another. Although basic care needs are being looked after everyday; Starting from personal hygiene needs( washing, bathing or showering to assisting client with getting dressed or just supervising and promoting independence and toileting), preparing fresh meals depending on a client's diet, likes and dislikes as well as dietician and medical outlook on clients needs; Providing individual and based on client's best interest in mind. Daily routine as well includes either supervising or administering medication. The rest of a day depends on clients wishes, interests and ideas of how to spend a day. It all varies from going grocery shopping together, visiting friends for a cup of tea, going out for a ouch or simply having lazy day with breakfast in day and watching 'Midsomer Murders' or 'Mrs Marple'. By the end of the day I'm assisting client with bedtime routine and making sure all request are fulfilled so the night will be relaxing and peaceful. Then I do paperwork, from filling out MAR sheets, care delivery records, food and fluids charts to all necessary ones for example professional visits, financial transactions, topical charts, etc.
I have learned a lot while doing this job. Mainly because its only client and myself so various ways of communication, small little things that I pick up about each client, getting know the person thru family, friends and spending time with client to provide best care possible. 
I could have always rely on my agency. Every issue I had I felt I was always listened to and supported. This made jobs easier.
The hardest part in my opinion would be that this job could make you feel quite isolated and lonely but I have met a lot wonderful people and doing this job it is experience like no other.

I really thought Agincare were the company that I could settle with and build a career. In the interview they told me all the right things. That I would get training, that staff work hard but are appreciated and most importantly that the residents are the companies priority. 
6 months in and I am desperately looking for a new oppertunity. The culture is toxic and am being told to make too many  compromises in the care I give to suit the owners pockets. I completely understand that there is a business to be run and that margins are low but to be told daily to manage with 40% less staff than has been assessed safe and for more and more jobs in a NURSING home to be given to senior carers it just does not seem right. Management decisions about how to give care go against current research and my conscience far too often. 
The residents are AMAZING and the only reason I keep going in each day but like too many care companies the organisation takes advantage of staffs caring nature. I feel desperately sorry for the residents who are sold a service they are just not recieving. It is one thing to have beenade promises as an employee and sad that I am not going to receive benefits.such as training I was promised at interview bur UNFORGIVABLE to promise a gold standard of care to residents on admission and instead be given a budget one that is very often unsafe. 
I am having more and more sleepless nights worrying about the people I support. The home I work with is well known to the CQC and I can only hope that they eventually take action. 
Please don't be fooled by the fair pay and the promises like I was. There are plenty of services out there that balance the care the patients need and their bank balances in a much more conscientious way. Most care staff are in their very natures caring. Please don't be sucked into working for a company like this that care nothing about you or the residents.

Working as a live in carer is not an easy thing to do. You have to deal with lots of people with various backgrounds and needs. But before you get started, you receive all the training and support needed to become a responsible carer who will change your service user’s life for the best. But you cannot do that, all alone. Agincare Group staff are with you wherever you are. Starting from the administration department, to your coordinator and area managers you have lots of support, understanding, consideration and respect whenever you need help.My coming from a different country, with a different mentality and culture has never been an obstacle in this agency. You are who you are, and you can become the person you want to be,with lots of extra training and job offers to improve yourself in the most efficient way. There is lots of communication via emails or phone calls about everything you need to know, not only about your work but also about any changes that apply out of work( e.g.COVID rules changes and how to be protected and protect the others).
All in all, I would recommend Agincare to anyone who would like to join a well organized, multicultural working environment, who will support you in every step you take in this highly rewarding area of live in care.

I started work with Agincare as a care worker back in 2015 I was encouraged to apply for the field care supervisor role which I was offered and enjoyed very much I was fully supported throughout and was encouraged further to apply for the care coordinator role, I had full support with training and learning the system. In 2017 the role of Deputy Manager was presented to me which I grabbed with both hands. I have had full support in my role, Luke Holmes has been extremely supportive and my ideas have and are always listened to and taken on bored. I have recently started my level 5 in health and social care which is time consuming and brain frazzling but other branch managers have been on hand to talk to me and give me guidance where needed. It is hard to find the perfect work and home life balance when you are so passionate about both but Agincare have been great at supporting me whilst trying to find the happy medium. (which I'm still yet to find). I think I work well with the company because I agree with their morals and values. I believe in person centred care and love being a part of a team that strives to help individuals to re gain independence  where possible.  Everyone is on the other end of the phone when I need them, no matter how small my question. I am very happy within my job role, yes its stressful and not everyday brings smiles but I could not see myself working for any other care provider, my career does not end with me being a Deputy manager and Agincare I know will support me further with the paths I choose. There are many pros to working with Agincare, good pay, holiday, mileage, support, diplomas and an overall fantastic team to work with.

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience at Agincare UK Ltd. The support and training provided by the company have helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I'm grateful to be a part of such a fantastic team.

I have worked in numerous care settings nursing, community  and residential and have found Victory to be down to earth. Management actually great you with a good morning and the deputy always thanks  me at the end of every shift I've done. 

I have been here for a while  now, and within that time I have progressed my carer starting from the bottom and working my way up with the help and support of management. Who have helped me receive my QCF training, I can always talk to management and team leaders  about any issues I have and have found them very supportive. Even when i have been off sick they where supportive of me offering one to one check ins to  give me the time to talk about any issues I have.  

The managers have even shown their appreciation to the staff by ordering pizzas and treats for night staff and also staff have received flowers and goodie bags with thank you cards showing how much their work is appreciated. 

Working in any care setting can be busy and the shifts are a mixture of 12 hours and 6 hours , which I like as you are shown what hours and days your working at interview and its a set 2 week rota that very rarely changes which is nice so I can then plan my weeks. I receive above the national minimum wage, and company frequently give pay rises , plus it increases when I've been promoted also. 

The manager has been so helpful and understanding when I have needed to come into work a bit later due to childcare issues. The team leaders are really supportive and help me with any questions I have.

All in all I'm really happy here :-)
