About the role

The Operations and Projects Coordinator plays a key role in the delivery of Imperial’s public affairs and policy activities to inform decision makers and influence policy through supporting the Public Affairs and Imperial Policy Forum teams to engage with policy makers, civil servants, politicians and other key stakeholders to manage Imperial’s reputation, promote Imperial’s strategic developments and ensure that the strengths, expertise and impact of both research and science-focused educational provision are understood by decision makers.

What you would be doing

You will be supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the Public Affairs and Imperial Policy Forum teams’ operations and the delivery of specific projects and activities in both teams including the administration of short courses offered by the Imperial Policy Forum.

Responsibilities include diary and travel arrangements, finance, HR and ICT administration, communications support, contacts management, events coordination and other project work.

What we are looking for

Educated to a minimum of A level standard or equivalent and/or professional experience related to the work of this post.
Proven office management experience.
Strong budget monitoring experience.
High level of IT literacy.
Communications and events coordination experience.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent organisation skills and standards of accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
The ability to work well in a team setting and independently.

Further information

This is a one year fixed term role to cover maternity leave with an expected start date of October 2026. Secondments are welcomed.

Successful candidates will normally be appointed at the bottom of the salary scale.

The Public Affairs and Imperial Policy Forum teams are based in the Strategic Engagement Division within the Office of the President.
