Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating steel components and structures, ensuring precision and quality in all work. This role involves working with various tools and welding techniques to produce high-quality metal products, contributing to the successful completion of projects in a timely manner. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for fabrication and mechanical work to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components according to technical drawings and specifications
Performing TIG welding and other welding processes on steel and sheet metal materials
Operating hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Using basic maths to measure and mark materials accurately
Assembling fabricated parts into finished products or structures
Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to ensure safety standards are met
Conducting quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with specifications

Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding and other welding techniques specific to welding standards
Experience with fabrication processes involving sheet metal and steel components
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues during fabrication
Good understanding of assembly procedures and technical drawings
Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations
Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining safety standards
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
