Job summary
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Smartcard team. The post holder will be responsible for delivering the duties associated with the issuing and processing of ID badges and Smartcards as a business as usual function by providing an efficient, helpful and supportive services to all managers, staff and where applicable external organisations.
This includes the registering of staff for Smartcards ensuring that they are compliant with GDPR requirements and standards outlined by Connecting for Health, and that cards are processed in a timely manner. They will be expected to support RA Agents in Trust with Smartcard issues and to be an additional point of contact to the Trust's central RA function. The post holder will be expected to manage their own workload on a day to day basis; training and supervision will be provided by the RA Coordinator.
At present, the Trust is unable to offer Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for this post. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
The post holder will be required to assist the Registration Authority (RA) Coordinator with the following duties. These will be performed under supervision and thorough training will be provided.
- Register staff for Smartcards and take photographs where necessary
- Process RA requests in User Identity Manager (UIM)
- Print Smartcards and post Smartcards
- Maintain a log of issued Smartcards and ensure Smartcards are received on time
- Attend to RA queries via phone or email
- Liaise with other departments to follow up on urgent access queries
- Regularly update the Trust's list of RA Agents and Smartcard Unlockers
- Receive leavers' Smartcards for cancelling
- Follow up leavers and deactivate access
- Follow up with users to ensure that each user only has 1 Smartcard
- Follow up expired Smartcards and ensure cards are renewed or cancelled accordingly
- Where necessary Synchronise users in both Mental Health and Community RiO Systems
- Liaise with other departments to arrange Smartcard registration of groups of students and junior doctors
- Schedule RA Agent training on behalf of the RA Coordinator
- Ensure user details in CIM and the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) are consistent.
