Full job description

Business Unit Assistant – The Serendipity Centre Ltd

Location – Hedge End, Southampton

Salary: £9600 - £12,000 FTE of £30,000 (12 - 15 hours per week Monday – Friday between 8am and 4pm)

You are invited to join this exciting opportunity to work within our Head Office team.

You should be able to coordinate and organise work under pressure and possess sound ICT and interpersonal skills, whilst the ability to work on your own initiative and maintain a high level of accuracy will be an integral part of the post.

You will be required to carry out general administrative routine clerical duties. This will include supporting the Business Manager with any areas of improvement to processes. You will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the building, answering the main company phone line and directing calls appropriately.

You will also be required to provide cover for the Business manager should they be away from work on holiday or off sick, dealing with general business enquiries.

This would be a great opportunity to develop business knowledge and experience, whilst supporting The Serendipity Centre Ltd in providing positive, successful outcomes for its care and education service. Essential knowledge, Experience Skills & Qualifications

Excellent attention to detail, ability to retain high levels of concentration

· Good skill set of Microsoft Word and Excel

· Experience in an office environment and knowledge of basic compliance procedures an advantage

· Good organisational skills / keeping track of data

Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated & quick learning
Flexible & enthusiastic team member
Capable of taking initiative and developing solutions
