Digital Cutter Operator (Paint Protection Film & Automotive Graphics)

Topaz Detailing Midlands – Leicester Studio

Are you organised, hands-on and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment?

Topaz Detailing Midlands is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated PPF Patterning & Materials Coordinator to become a key part of our workshop operations.

This is a unique role that combines technology, organisation and practical workshop involvement. No two days are the same, and you'll play a vital part in ensuring our Paint Protection Film (PPF) operation runs seamlessly.

What you'll be doing:

Producing and preparing PPF patterns using specialist software.
Nesting patterns to maximise material efficiency and minimise waste.
Operating and managing our PPF cutting machines.
Managing PPF stock levels, checking deliveries and organising materials.
Ordering film and consumables as required.
Preparing film for PPF technicians and ensuring jobs are ready on time.
Inspecting incoming vehicles, particularly new, luxury and high-performance cars, to ensure patterns are correct before installation.
Identifying new vehicle models and verifying pattern accuracy before work begins.
Liaising daily with the workshop, sales and management teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Maintaining high standards of organisation and housekeeping within the materials area.
Continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency and workflow.

About you

We're looking for someone who:

Is naturally organised and takes pride in keeping things running efficiently.
Is energetic, proactive and enjoys being busy.
Can work independently without needing constant supervision.
Is confident using computers and comfortable learning specialist software.
Has excellent attention to detail.
Enjoys solving problems and thinking ahead.
Is practical and doesn't mind being on their feet throughout the day.
Has a genuine interest in cars, particularly premium, prestige and performance vehicles.
Communicates well with colleagues across different departments.
Takes ownership of their role and enjoys making a difference.

Experience

Previous experience with PPF or automotive software is an advantage, but not essential. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

Automotive industry experience
Vehicle preparation or detailing
Workshop coordination
Stock control
Logistics or materials management
CAD, plotting or cutting systems
