Hire Controller – National Hire Desk

Location: Travis Perkins, 42 Sandhills Lane, Liverpool, L5 9XN

Working Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday

Are you organised, great on the phone, and helpful to customers?

Join our Hire Desk team in Liverpool as a Hire Controller. In this role, you will help our national customers get the equipment and tools they need for their building projects across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be the main point of contact between our customers, our local branches, and our delivery drivers.
Your main duties will include:
Answering phone calls and emails from customers to take tool and equipment hire orders.
Managing orders from start to finish, from giving quotes to arranging deliveries, collections, and returns.
Working closely with branch staff, drivers, and suppliers to make sure tools are ready on time.
Solving any delivery or equipment issues quickly to keep customers happy.
Making calls to existing and prospective customers to let them know about our hire services.
Helping the team hit sales targets by offering the right products at the right prices.

What We Are Looking For

Experience dealing with customers over the phone or by email in a busy job.
Able to multitask and stay calm when things get busy.
Friendly, clear, and professional when talking to colleagues and customers.
A positive attitude with a drive to learn new skills.
