Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Freelance Aggregates Sales Manager/Rep to support the growth of our business by increasing aggregates sales and sourcing suitable sites for the acceptance of inert materials.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated professional with experience in the aggregates, construction, waste, or earthworks sectors and an established network of industry contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop new business opportunities and grow sales of aggregates, recycled aggregates, and construction materials.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, groundworkers, civil engineering companies, and merchants.
- Identify and secure suitable sites requiring imported inert materials for land improvement or development projects.
- Source and develop tipping opportunities operating under U1 exemptions and CL:AIRE DoWCoP (Definition of Waste: Development Industry Code of Practice) material reuse projects.
- Liaise with landowners, developers, consultants, and project managers to establish new tipping locations.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and manage customer relationships.
- Monitor market activity and identify new opportunities for business growth.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure efficient logistics, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve sales and business development targets.
- Provide regular updates on sales activity, pipeline opportunities, and market intelligence.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in aggregates sales, muck-away, construction materials, or waste management.
- Good understanding of U1 exemptions and the CL:AIRE DoWCoP framework.
- Strong network of contacts within the construction, civil engineering, quarrying, or waste sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
