Full job description

Overview

GM Coachwork Ltd are a major convertor of high-quality wheelchair accessible vehicles, 17 seat school Minibus, and bespoke vehicle conversions, to a wide range of end users including the Motability charity, local councils, schools, and private retail customers.

We are seeking to recruit a proactive and driven Outbound Sales Generation Executive to generate new business opportunities within the public and community transport sectors.

You will be responsible for engaging decision-makers across Community Transport (CT) groups, care homes, local authorities, and NHS organisations, identifying vehicle needs, and booking qualified appointments for the sales team.

This is a key role focused on building a strong sales pipeline for our range of minibuses and wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAVs).

Day-to-day duties but not limited to

You will report to the Minibus Department Manager

Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospective customers
Identify and qualify opportunities within:
Community Transport organisations
Care homes and residential facilities
Local councils and authorities
NHS trusts and healthcare providers
Build relationships with key decision-makers (fleet managers, procurement teams, directors)
Generate and book qualified appointments for the sales team
Maintain accurate records in Atlas system
Follow up on marketing campaigns, inbound enquiries, and lapsed customers
Research target organisations and create call lists
Work towards KPI targets
Gather market intelligence and customer insights
Support wider sales campaigns and initiatives
Attending shows/exhibitions to promote the product

Essential skills and Experience

· Proven sales experience and cold calling is beneficial

· Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Excellent

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to provide product information with excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

· Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail

· Resilient, target-driven, and self-motivated

· Good self-management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively

Personal Circumstances

Full UK/EU Driving Licence

Eligible to work in the UK

What we offer

Basic salary of £26,436.80 Pro Rata if working less days

Commission – commission structure to be agreed with successful candidate.

Typical working hours: 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work (primarily to support events and shows). Following successful completion of the probationary period, we are open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Annual holiday entitlement in any holiday year is 28 days, inclusive of all public holiday entitlement. Following the completion of 5 years’ continuous service, holiday entitlement will increase by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 33 days inclusive of bank holidays.

Pension 5% employee and 3% employer contribution
