Full job description

Bishop Plumbing and Heating is a growing, family run plumbing, heating and cooling company serving Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for an experienced, organised and commercially aware person to manage customer enquiries, bookings and engineer diaries from first contact through to completion and payment.

The role includes:

Answering calls and emails

Booking jobs and managing engineer diaries

Collecting advance payments and deposits

Raising and chasing invoices

Following up quotations and helping fill diary gaps

Reviewing engineer notes and creating follow up tasks

Raising purchase orders

Keeping customer records accurate

Preparing weekly management reports

You must have at least three years’ relevant administration, customer service or operations experience. Experience within plumbing, heating, air conditioning or a similar service business is highly desirable.

You will need excellent attention to detail, initiative, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently without leaving tasks unfinished.

The role is currently home based, with initial training in Milton Keynes. It may move to an office in Milton Keynes in future.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 depending on experience
Holiday: 30 days including bank holidays
Benefits: No weekends, company equipment, salary review after probation and future progression opportunities
